It will be a double celebration for the fans of cricket and music. The American pop-rock band Imagine Dragons is all set to perform at the closing ceremony of Indian Premiere League 2024. The final match will be played on May 26 in Chennai&rsquo;s Chepauk stadium. Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the IPL, announced the news on their X handle along with the video. &nbsp;

In the video, the band&rsquo;s lead singer Dan Reynolds is heard excitedly talking about their presence at the closing ceremony of the much-loved sports finale. This would not be the first India visit for Imagine Dragons. The American pop-rock band was in India last time in 2023 for the music festival- Lollapalooza India. The band performed at the inaugural edition of the fest in Mumbai&rsquo;s Mahalaxmi Racecourse. &nbsp;

IPL 2024, the most loved Indian cricket league, saw the superstars like Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and AR Rahman performing at the opening ceremony. It is going to be a nail biting contest between Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla&rsquo;s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Pat Cummins led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday. &nbsp;
<h2>About Imagine Dragons &nbsp;</h2>
The pop-rock band formed in 2008 gained popularity with their single &lsquo;It&rsquo;s time&rsquo;. Some of their big hits include &lsquo;Believer&rsquo;, &lsquo;Thunder&rsquo; and &lsquo;Natural&rsquo;. The band has one Grammy and three American Music Awards to their credit. &nbsp;

Singer AP Dhillon was among one of the performers on the first day of the Lollapalooza India, and the crowd was elated.

The two-day festival in Mumbai will see a mix of Indian and International acts that include Prateek Kuhad, Divine, Japanese Breakfast, Madeon, Alec Benjamin, Jackson Wang, Chelsea Cutler, and others.

Lollapalooza will make its much-anticipated debut in India in January 2023 and the final line-up for the music festival has been announced. American bands Imagine Dragons, The Strokes and Hong Kong rapper Jackson Wang of K-pop group GOT 7 will be among others who will headlining the event.
The Lollapalooza music festival is scheduled to be held at Mumbai&rsquo;s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 28-29.
Jackson took to social media to share his excitement and mentioned how he is finally coming to India as promised.

Other international artists - rock bands Greta Van Fleet and The Wombats; pop artists Alec Benjamin, Chelsea Cutler, Japanese Breakfast and Raveena; dream-pop group Cigarettes After Sex; and electronic music producers Apashe, Diplo, Imanbek, Kasablanca, Madeon and Zhu, will also mark their debut performance in India.

This is first time Lollapalooza will be held in Asia. Over the past decade, it is a popular event in Santiago, S&Atilde;&pound;o Paulo and Buenos Aires in South America, and Berlin, Paris and Stockholm in Europe.
