The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) conducted a review meeting in Navsari under the leadership of state president Isudan Gadhvi, ahead of the upcoming Navsari Municipal Corporation elections. Leaders and party workers, including AAP South Gujarat Zone President Ram Dhaduk, attended the meeting.
Speaking to the media before the session, Gadhvi highlighted key issues in the city and outlined the party&rsquo;s plans for the elections. &ldquo;The Navsari Municipal Corporation elections are approaching and a review will be conducted with party workers in this regard,&rdquo; he said.
Gadhvi criticised the current administration in Navsari, stating that long-standing governance challenges have affected public services. &ldquo;BJP has been ruling Navsari for years and people are suffering from various problems. BJP leaders do not know how to govern and all the money is going into corruption. The leaders are so arrogant that they believe people have no other option even if they do not vote for them. This arrogance is troubling the public today,&rdquo; he said.
He also raised concerns about urban infrastructure and civic services, adding, &ldquo;Even demolitions carried out have not been put to proper use. If in the city of Union Minister for Jal Shakti C.R. Patil, water comes once every 45 days, one can imagine the situation. The point is that the development Navsari deserves has not taken place. Taxes are being imposed on the public. As per information received, taxes in Navsari are likely to be almost doubled after the elections. Navsari is facing many issues related to roads, water supply, sewerage and inflation. Women are not provided free bus travel.&rdquo;
Highlighting AAP&rsquo;s governance model in other states, Gadhvi urged residents to consider the party as an alternative. &ldquo;I appeal to the people of Navsari that a strong alternative is now emerging and an opportunity is coming. Till now, people may have suffered under the BJP system. When the Aam Aadmi Party formed the government in Delhi and provided 300 units of free electricity, BJP governments in other states were also forced to provide free electricity. If the people of Navsari form an AAP Municipal Corporation, they will not only get various facilities but also a corruption-free civic body. Public money will be properly utilized over five years. Facilities will be provided such as Gujarat has never seen before,&rdquo; he said.
Gadhvi cited the party&rsquo;s record in Punjab, stating, &ldquo;In three years, the AAP government in Punjab has done such good work that it won 87 percent of the seats in the local body elections. In Punjab, electricity and water have been made free, schools have been built, and 43,000 kilometers of good roads are being constructed. Punjab has been made drug-free and youth affected by addiction have been given jobs. 56,000 government jobs have been provided without a single rupee of bribery or any paper leak. The AAP government in Punjab has achieved what was considered impossible in three years, which is why people have given such a massive mandate.&rdquo;
He appealed to the people of Navsari to &ldquo;rise above greed, inducements, casteism and regionalism, and choose the politics of work.&rdquo; Gadhvi added that preparations for the election are underway and the candidate selection process is expected to begin within the next fifteen days.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and local residents staged a sit-in protest in Ahmedabad&rsquo;s Naroda area following the demolition of houses in Baliya Bapa ni Chali, party leaders said on Thursday.&nbsp;
The protest was held outside the office of Gujarat Urban Development Minister and local MLA Darshanaben Vaghela.
According to AAP, around 150 houses were demolished after notices were issued to residents. AAP State Vice President Gauri Desai, who participated in the protest along with affected families, said the residents were served notices on November 6 and demolition was carried out after what she described as a single notice.
Desai alleged that the demolition was conducted without making alternative accommodation arrangements for the affected families. She cited Supreme Court guidelines, which, she said, mandate that rehabilitation be provided before demolition. She claimed that no such arrangements were made in this case.
AAP leaders further said that residents had earlier approached the local Collector and submitted applications to MLA Darshanaben Vaghela seeking relief, but did not receive any response. On Thursday, affected residents reached the minister&rsquo;s office carrying copies of the notices they had received.
According to Desai, the residents were later informed that the minister was on tour and the office was closed, despite Thursdays and Fridays being designated public meeting days. She also questioned claims that 102 houses had been allotted to the affected families, alleging that officials did not provide a list when asked.
AAP leaders alleged that several women and children were present at the protest and that many were visibly distressed following the demolition. The party also claimed that people who had gathered to submit their grievances were asked to leave and that the office was subsequently closed.
Desai said the Aam Aadmi Party would continue to raise the issue and support the affected residents through peaceful means in the coming days.
No immediate response was available from the minister&rsquo;s office regarding the allegations at the time of filing this report.

He attributed the result to what he described as sustained governance and people-focused initiatives in the state.
As per the data cited by Sorathiya, AAP won 219 of the 343 district panchayat seats, while the Congress secured 56 seats and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won seven seats. In the taluka panchayat elections, results for 2,835 seats have been declared, with AAP winning 1,558 seats, Congress 610 seats and BJP 64 seats.
Sorathiya said the overall outcome indicates that AAP has won close to 70 per cent of the total seats across both tiers of local bodies. Referring to the upcoming local body elections in Gujarat, he expressed confidence that voters in the state would respond positively to AAP, positioning the party as an alternative in the state&rsquo;s political landscape.
He also stated that public sentiment in Gujarat is changing after three decades of BJP rule and that AAP is emerging as a credible option for voters seeking political change. Speaking on the issue, Khava stated, &ldquo;On one hand, the condition of roads across Gujarat is extremely poor &mdash; whether in villages, cities, or on highways &mdash; every road is in a dilapidated state.&rdquo;
AAP&rsquo;s statement highlighted, "Complaints about the poor condition of roads continue to emerge not only during the monsoon but also on normal days. Across both cities and villages, roads are reportedly in a state of disrepair, leaving residents distressed."
Khava also cited the revenue collected through toll tax over the past five years. &ldquo;Over the last five years, the state government has collected a massive amount of ₹8,702 crore from the people of Gujarat in the name of toll tax. Instead of using this money to improve roads, the government has spent it on self-glorification. In some cases, despite collecting nearly double the amount compared to the actual cost of road construction, toll tax continues to be charged,&rdquo; he said.
He requested that the toll tax be reviewed and called on the state government to take measures to address road maintenance.

He also referred to the Punjab government&rsquo;s decision to provide compensation of ₹50,000 per hectare to farmers in cases of crop damage, stating that the amount was transferred directly to farmers&rsquo; bank accounts within one month. According to Rai, road and infrastructure development in Punjab has also seen visible improvements since AAP assumed office.
Commenting on upcoming local body elections in Gujarat, Rai expressed confidence that similar political momentum could emerge in the state. Elections are scheduled in the coming months for municipal corporations, municipalities, district panchayats and taluka panchayats in Gujarat.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Chaitar Vasava on Wednesday visited Padaliya village in Gujarat&rsquo;s Banaskantha district to verify facts related to an incident involving forest officials, police personnel and members of the tribal community. He met local residents and affected families before addressing the media.
Speaking to reporters, Vasava said he had come to ascertain details of the incident that took place on the 13th, during which, according to him, forest officials and police carried out actions without prior notice. He alleged that a woman&rsquo;s house was demolished despite her having young children and claimed that around 10 am, a convoy arrived and filled in a well that villagers had been using as a drinking water source.
Vasava further stated that JCB machines dug pits and carried out plantation work on agricultural land where crops were standing. He said villagers questioned why permission from the Gram Sabha was not obtained despite the area falling under Schedule 5, and why no advance notice was issued.&nbsp;
According to him, several villagers were detained on the instructions of senior police officials, and when residents sought their release, police resorted to a lathi-charge.
He claimed that as a result, 32 to 35 people were seriously injured. Vasava also questioned who authorised the firing of 27 tear gas shells and more than 50 rounds. He said that following what he described as excessive force, villagers resorted to stone-pelting in self-defence, after which the situation turned violent. Vasava alleged that the incident involved senior government officers and ministers, and was not limited to lower-level officials.
The AAP MLA further alleged that only a one-sided FIR was registered, naming 27 individuals and mentioning an unnamed mob of 500 people. He demanded that FIRs also be filed against senior police officials and that cases registered against tribal residents be withdrawn.
Refuting claims made by the Superintendent of Police to the media that tribals attacked police with spears and bows, Vasava said no such weapons were in their possession. He stated that tribal communities believe in dialogue and the Constitution, and added that despite discussions lasting three hours, no resolution was reached, culminating in the lathi-charge.
Vasava said the affected families have been living in the area for generations and have filed claims under the Forest Rights Act, 2006, which, he said, should be approved and land titles issued. He alleged that the violence occurred at the behest of the BJP government&rsquo;s forest minister, with police acting on instructions from industrialists.
He warned that if the demands are not addressed and tribal residents continue to face harassment, people from Ambaji to Umargam would unite and march to government offices, including towards Gandhinagar. Vasava concluded by stating that if justice is not delivered, the Aam Aadmi Party will approach the Human Rights Commission, the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, and, if necessary, the United Nations court.

As many as 10 private schools in Ahmedabad received an email on Wednesday threatening bomb blasts, which later turned out to be a hoax as nothing suspicious was found during searches, police said.&nbsp;
As a precautionary measure, these schools declared a holiday for the afternoon shift as the morning shift was already over when they received the emails, having a common text, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 1, Harshad Patel said.&nbsp;
After being alerted, police, along with the bomb detection and disposal squad, dog squad and anti-sabotage teams, reached the schools and conducted a thorough search, Patel told reporters.&nbsp;
"In the email sent to the schools, it was claimed that bomb blasts will be carried out in these establishments during the afternoon. As a precautionary measure, these schools declared a holiday for the afternoon shift as the morning shift was already over," he said.&nbsp;
"Our teams reached the schools and conducted a thorough search. However, nothing suspicious was found. Cybercrime teams are now investigating the source of these emails and who was behind them," Patel said.&nbsp;
The exact contents of these emails are not disclosed because the matter is under investigation, he said.&nbsp;

A delegation of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) met Gujarat Chief Minister at Swarnim Sankul in Gandhinagar yesterday to discuss 11 key demands raised by farmers across the state.&nbsp;
The delegation was led by AAP State President Isudan Gadhvi and included MLAs Gopal Italia and Chaitar Vasava, State Organisation General Secretary Manoj Sorathiya, National Joint Secretary Raju Solanki, State Youth President Brijraj Solanki, State Vice President Gauri Desai, Central Zone Working President Dr. Javelben Vasara, State Chief Spokesperson Dr. Karan Barot, and other senior leaders.&nbsp;
Following the meeting, Gadhvi expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for taking the time to hear their concerns.
Speaking to the media, Isudan Gadhvi outlined that the party has been conducting agitations across Gujarat for the past two months to highlight farmers&rsquo; issues.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Whether it was atrocities on farmers in Haddad, the killing of cattle rearers in Modasa, or high-tension power lines being laid through farmers&rsquo; fields, we organised eight to nine 'Kisan Mahapanchayats' across the state,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;
Gadhvi added that at Sudamda, AAP announced its plan to approach the Chief Minister with 10 demands, which later increased to 11 due to concerns over inadequate compensation for high-tension power lines passing through agricultural fields.
The AAP leader further said that nearly 8,000 villages participated in the 'Kisan Mahapanchayats,' with support letters collected from approximately 80,000 farmers. &ldquo;Solutions to all these issues are possible.&nbsp;
Compensation of ₹50,000 per hectare can be given, and 12 hours of electricity supply per day can be ensured,&rdquo; he stated. Gadhvi noted that the Chief Minister had assured the delegation that the concerns would be addressed.
However, he also warned that if these 11 issues are not resolved by the upcoming budget session, the party will be compelled to take the matter to the streets. Gadhvi added that the campaign is set to expand, with a signature drive planned to involve 20 lakh farmers, and that AAP legislators will continue to raise these issues in the Legislative Assembly.&nbsp;
&ldquo;As the opposition, we have brought farmers&rsquo; issues onto a common platform, and if there is no resolution, we will fight for the rights of farmers, farm labourers and sharecroppers,&rdquo; he said.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced a series of organisational appointments across Gujarat as part of its efforts to expand its presence in the state ahead of the forthcoming elections.
In a statement, the party said it has been raising issues related to farmers&rsquo; welfare, including alleged injustices faced by farmers, as well as concerns over drugs and liquor.&nbsp;
It has also highlighted the need for stronger measures to ensure women&rsquo;s safety following repeated incidents of sexual violence against minor girls. According to AAP, the organisational restructuring is aimed at reaching a wider section of the public and strengthening its internal structure before the polls.
The appointments have been made under the leadership of AAP State In-charge Gopal Rai, State President Isudan Gadhvi, and State Organisation General Secretary Manoj Sorathiya. Ward In-charges and Co In-charges have been appointed in municipal corporations including Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Nadiad, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Navsari and Vapi.
In Bhuj, the party has named office-bearers for the posts of City President and City Secretary, along with Taluka General Secretary of the Minority Wing and Taluka Kisan Cell President. Appointments have also been made in Kutch district&rsquo;s Lakhpat taluka for Taluka General Secretary and Taluka Secretary, while a Women&rsquo;s Wing Taluka General Secretary has been appointed in Nakhatrana taluka.
In addition, AAP has appointed In-charges and Co In-charges in several municipalities across Gujarat, along with Ward In-charges and Co In-charges. The party has also named In-charges and Co In-charges for multiple District Panchayat seats in different parts of the state.
AAP said further organisational appointments are expected to be announced in the coming days as it continues preparations for the elections.

Speaking after the meeting, AAP MLA Gopal Italia said that farmers in Gujarat are facing multiple challenges, prompting the party to organise Kisan Mahapanchayats across North Gujarat, Central Gujarat and Saurashtra.
He said these outreach programmes were aimed at understanding farmers&rsquo; concerns at the grassroots level. According to him, farmers shared their grievances with party leaders and submitted forms detailing their issues, which formed the basis of the 11 demands presented to the Chief Minister.

Explaining the demands, Italia said the delegation has sought the immediate abolition of the &ldquo;price-cutting practice&rdquo; in all markets, with strict imprisonment for those involved. Other demands include ensuring that farmers are not forced to transport produce to godowns or factories instead of APMC markets, compensation of ₹50,000 per hectare within one month for farmers, sharecroppers and farm labourers affected by unseasonal rains on the lines of the Punjab government, timely payment of price differences to dairy farmers directly into their bank accounts, and provision of 12 hours of free electricity daily.
The memorandum also calls for withdrawal of police cases filed against farmers during the Haddad incident and the Sabar Dairy agitation, procurement of all crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP), timely availability of fertilisers, clearance of pending payments to sugarcane farmers and reopening of closed sugar mills, commencement of cotton procurement by the CCI from October 1 instead of December, and adequate compensation for farmers affected by the installation of high-tension power lines across the state.
Italia further said that farmers across Gujarat are looking for relief amid rising input costs, erratic rainfall, damage caused by wild animals, alleged irregularities in APMC pricing practices, and land acquisition for infrastructure projects without consent.
He said the delegation conveyed these concerns to the Chief Minister and expressed hope that the state government would take prompt decisions on the issues raised.
He added that the demands were aimed at addressing challenges faced by the agricultural sector and safeguarding food security, and said the party would continue to raise farmers&rsquo; concerns.

Speaking to the media, Vasava said information related to the incident had been collected and a visit was planned to understand the matter in detail.&nbsp;
He said AAP office-bearers, the party&rsquo;s legal team and representatives of tribal organisations would assemble at 10:30 am after offering prayers at Ambaji Mata and then proceed from Gabbar Parvat to Paldiya village.
Vasava said the purpose of the visit was to determine the root cause of the violence, including who initiated it, why it occurred and why legal action was taken only against members of the tribal community. He also questioned why no action was taken against those who allegedly carried out the lathi-charge, fired tear gas shells and resorted to firing. He further questioned the need for police and forest department officials to conduct a lathi-charge, use tear gas shells and fire nearly 50 rounds.
According to Vasava, the delegation, along with representatives of tribal organisations and the legal team, will visit the village to ascertain the facts surrounding the incident. An Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) delegation reached Swarnim Sankul in Gandhinagar on Tuesday to meet the Gujarat Chief Minister regarding farmers&rsquo; demands. The delegation submitted a memorandum signed by farmers and outlining 11 demands related to agricultural and allied issues.
According to the party, AAP has organised 8 to 9 &lsquo;Kisan Mahapanchayats&rsquo; across Gujarat and held &lsquo;Kisan Nyay Panchayats&rsquo; in more than 8,000 villages across North Gujarat, Central Gujarat and Saurashtra. A signature campaign was also conducted in villages and talukas across the state in support of farmers&rsquo; demands, during which more than 80,000 farmers signed the memorandum.
The delegation was led by Gujarat State President Isudan Gadhvi and included AAP leaders and MLAs Gopal Italia and Chaitar Vasava, State Organisation General Secretary Manoj Sorathiya and other senior leaders.
Speaking to the media, Isudan Gadhvi said that the party has been raising farmers&rsquo; issues through various &lsquo;Jansabhas&rsquo; and &lsquo;Kisan Panchayats&rsquo; for several days. He said that after AAP announced a Kisan Helpline number, complaints were received from farmers from more than 400 APMCs. He added that issues ranging from the &ldquo;price-cutting practice&rdquo; to other concerns were highlighted through Kisan Mahapanchayats across the state and &lsquo;Kisan Nyay Panchayats&rsquo; in 8,000 villages. Gadhvi said that through the signature campaign, over 80,000 farmers expressed support for the party&rsquo;s 11-point charter of demands.
He said that the delegation, which includes Gopal Italia, Chaitar Vasava, Manoj Sorathiya and other leaders, will apprise the Chief Minister of the 11 demands along with the signed memorandum submitted by farmers.
Detailing the demands, Gadhvi said the first demand is the immediate abolition of the &ldquo;price-cutting practice&rdquo; in all markets, with strict imprisonment for those involved. The second demand is that farmers should not be forced to transport their produce to godowns or factories instead of APMC markets.&nbsp;
The third demand seeks compensation of ₹50,000 per hectare for farmers and sharecroppers whose crops were damaged by unseasonal rains, on the lines of the Punjab government, with payment within one month.
The fourth demand calls for dairy farmers to receive the price difference from all dairy unions directly into their bank accounts in a timely manner. The fifth demand is for 12 hours of free electricity daily for farmers. The sixth demand seeks withdrawal of police cases filed against farmers during the Haddad incident and the Sabar Dairy agitation, along with the immediate release of jailed farmers.
The seventh demand is that the government should procure all crops at MSP (Minimum Support Price). The eighth demand seeks adequate and timely availability of fertilisers. The ninth demand calls for clearance of pending payments to sugarcane farmers by sugar mills and the reopening of closed sugar mills. The tenth demand is that cotton procurement by the CCI should begin from October 1 instead of December. The eleventh demand relates to compensation for farmers affected by the installation of high-tension power lines across Gujarat, which the party said remains inadequate.
Gadhvi said the issues would be formally presented to the Chief Minister and expressed confidence that positive decisions would be taken. He also said that if the demands are not accepted in the coming days, the Aam Aadmi Party will launch a mass public agitation.

She noted that despite submitting documents related to the earlier ₹2,500-crore case, no action has been taken so far. The latest claim involves wages allegedly being issued to 22 lakh fake workers, said to exist only on paper, enabling agencies to withdraw large sums.
Rathwa sought answers from the state administration on the alleged withdrawals and questioned &ldquo;under whose political protection&rdquo; such transactions were made. She referred to the central government&rsquo;s statement in Parliament acknowledging the misuse of fake job cards under the scheme.
She also asked on what documents these job cards were approved and later cancelled, calling for all related records to be made public. Rathwa alleged that programmes intended to provide 100 days of employment to tribal communities have been misused, claiming that agencies and intermediaries are siphoning funds.

Gujarat Aam Aadmi Party MLA Chaitar Vasava on Thursday said the state government has agreed to submit pending post-matric scholarships for tribal students, following months of representations, protests and pressure from student groups and the AAP.
Vasava said the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme, originally launched by the Central Government on 1 July 2010, had been discontinued by the Gujarat Government through a circular dated 28 October 2024. After the decision, &ldquo;thousands of students raised strong demands,&rdquo; he said, adding that he had submitted detailed representations before the Commissioner and Secretary along with students at Birsa Munda Bhavan and raised the issue in the Assembly, where he was suspended.
According to Vasava, despite repeated appeals, &ldquo;the government remained adamant on its decision.&rdquo; In June 2025, AAP warned of boycotting government admission programmes in tribal regions. Under pressure, the state issued a second circular on 24 June 2025, promising to reinstate the scheme. However, with funds still not released, students &ldquo;continued to suffer severe hardships.&rdquo; On 25 November 2025, Vasava met the Minister at Birsa Munda Bhavan and Swarnim Sankul-1, warning of a constructive agitation in Gandhinagar if the scholarships were not restored within 15 days.
Vasava said that Tribal Affairs Minister Nareshbhai Patel has now announced that the government will deposit the pending ₹460 crore post-matric scholarship amount for the year 2024&ndash;25. He welcomed the decision but urged the government to immediately resolve three remaining issues.
He demanded that individuals securing admissions or jobs using fake tribal certificates must be investigated and removed. He also called for abolishing the mandatory 40% merit condition for tribal candidates in recruitment and ensuring that all seats reserved for tribal candidates under the roster are fully allocated.
Additionally, he said the current food bill of ₹70 per day (₹2100 per month) in hostels of the Tribal Development Department is inadequate due to inflation, and must be increased from ₹2100 to ₹3000 to ensure nutritious meals for students.
Vasava said the government is expected to take &ldquo;prompt and positive action&rdquo; on these demands.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sharply criticised the Gujarat government on Wednesday, calling its actions a &ldquo;blatant display of dictatorship&rdquo; after he was stopped from meeting farmers and farmer leaders lodged in Rajkot jail.
At a press conference in Rajkot, Kejriwal said he had planned to visit the jail to meet those imprisoned but was deliberately prevented from doing so. &ldquo;What could be more dictatorial than this? Am I a terrorist?&rdquo; he asked, emphasising that those detained were farmers and not criminals.&nbsp;
Kejriwal said he had sought permission the previous day but was informed in the morning that he was &ldquo;not allowed to meet&rdquo; the jailed farmers. Drawing a historical comparison, he added, &ldquo;When the British jailed Bhagat Singh, even then his colleagues were allowed to meet him. Did our freedom fighters fight for independence only to face a government more cruel and tyrannical than the British?&rdquo;
He pointed out that 54 lakh farming families in Gujarat rely on agriculture but continue to face acute hardship &mdash; from shortages of seeds and long queues for fertiliser to an absence of fair crop prices.&nbsp;
According to Kejriwal, farmers strike deals at ₹1500 but are forced to settle for ₹1200. He said that when farmers united against this price-cutting practice, the state government resorted to a brutal lathi-charge and arrested 88 peaceful protesters.
Kejriwal alleged that police deliberately skipped court hearings on bail dates &ldquo;to break the farmers&rsquo; morale.&rdquo; Of the 88 arrested, 42 have secured bail. He said he met families of those jailed and recently released, adding, &ldquo;Their stories would move anyone to tears.&rdquo; He also claimed that farmers in custody were denied water for 24 hours, given no food, and beaten. &ldquo;What does the BJP want? Fear God,&rdquo; he said, while saluting the families who met him despite &ldquo;tremendous pressure&rdquo; not to do so. &ldquo;I want to say only this &mdash; one day, the people of Gujarat will rise against government.&rdquo;
Kejriwal widened his criticism to the education sector, alleging that farmers often take loans to send their children to cities like Ahmedabad and Surat for coaching, only to experience exam paper leaks just before tests. &ldquo;We have seen children crying helplessly,&rdquo; he said, claiming &ldquo;their own people&rdquo; are behind the leaks. He further alleged that drugs are being openly circulated across Gujarat to ensure young people do not raise their voice. &ldquo;Today, drugs are available in every lane. Every family in Gujarat is being devastated by this government. But I believe these are their final days, because people across Gujarat are rising,&rdquo; he said.
He also said he learned that farms belonging to arrested farmers and their children were ploughed collectively by villagers. Making a sharp remark on governance, he added, &ldquo;Two things are openly sold in Gujarat today &mdash; drugs, and potholes on the roads. This is what they have reduced Gujarat to after 30 years. Now it&rsquo;s time to end this.&rdquo;
Kejriwal claimed that for years people felt they had no alternative because the Congress and BJP were &ldquo;hand in glove.&rdquo; &ldquo;Congress never wanted BJP to lose power in Gujarat. But now people have an option, and Aam Aadmi Party is being discussed in every household,&rdquo; he said. He added that people look to leaders like Gopal Italia, Isudan Gadhvi, Raju Karpara, Pravin Ram, Chaitar Vasava and Manoj Sorathiya with hope. &ldquo;Tell me one BJP leader who gives hope to the people of Gujarat,&rdquo; he challenged. &ldquo;When our leaders speak, people listen. Name one leader from BJP or Congress whom people believe can fix Gujarat.&rdquo;
Addressing the people directly, Kejriwal said, &ldquo;You will have to save Gujarat. You will have to overcome fear and stand up.&rdquo; He alleged that FIRs are being used as tools of intimidation. &ldquo;I myself spent six months in jail. They may jail you too, but I take responsibility &mdash; for every false FIR filed against anyone, we will fight. And two years from now when the government changes, within 24 hours all false FIRs will be withdrawn. After that, the ministers who oppressed the people of Gujarat will be sent to jail.&rdquo;
He questioned the government over the massive drug seizures at Mundra Port, asking who the real culprits were and what happened to shipments that were never intercepted. According to Kejriwal, drugs are easily accessible across the state, pushing youth into darkness, and such a situation would not be possible without official collusion.
Referring to AAP&rsquo;s governance in Punjab, he said that when the party took power, drugs were widespread across towns and villages. &ldquo;Today, under our government, bulldozers are demolishing the homes of drug peddlers, and over 25,000 drug dealers have been arrested.&rdquo; He said AAP took such action because &ldquo;its intentions are honest,&rdquo; questioning why similar steps were not taken in Gujarat. Kejriwal also alleged that those involved in selling spurious liquor are not being caught &ldquo;because they are hand-in-glove with the ruling system.&rdquo;
