Entertainment conglomerate Disney is likely to layoff 4000 employees in April. According to Business Insider, the firm has instructed its managers to propose budget cuts and prepare a list of employees who would be laid off.
This comes after the company sacked 7000 employees in February for restructuring, cutting content and trimming payroll. The company&rsquo;s CEO Bob Iger in February said that the move was &ldquo;necessary to address the challenges we&rsquo;re facing today&rdquo;.
Apart from this, Disney has also announced a reduction in general entertainment aimed at adults. It is also considering its options over what to do with the streaming service Hulu. Hulu is owned two-thirds by Disney and one-third by Comcast Corp.
This comes ahead of Disney's annual meeting on 3 April.&nbsp;

The job cuts follow similar moves by US tech giants dialing back from a hiring spurt that began during the height of the pandemic.
In its 2021 annual report, the group said it employed 190,000 people worldwide, 80 percent of whom were full-time.
The storied company founded by Walt Disney said its streaming service saw its first ever fall in subscribers last quarter as consumers cut back on spending.
Subscribers to Disney+, the streaming archrival to Netflix, fell one percent to 161.8 million customers on December 31, compared to three months earlier.

Nations that refused to allow the film to be shown include Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and the United Arab Emirates, Disney said. The UAE, home to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, earlier this week announced it would not allow the film to screen.
Many Muslims consider gays and lesbians to be sinful. In some parts of the Arab world, members of the LGBTQ community have been arrested and sentenced to prison. Some countries even maintain the death penalty.

'Game of Thrones' star, actor&nbsp;Peter Dinklage has called out Disney for remaking their 1937 animated classic 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'.
Disney recently announced that Latina star&nbsp;Rachel Zegler would be starring in a &lsquo;Snow White&rsquo; remake, playing the princess alongside Gal Gadot&nbsp;who will play the role of the&nbsp;Evil Queen.
In an interview on&nbsp;Marc Maron&rsquo;s&nbsp;'WTF'&nbsp;podcast&nbsp;to promote his role in &lsquo;Cyrano&rsquo;, Dinklage said that while some fans have praised Disney for the racially diverse casting, they missed the larger issue of the way the original film portrays differently-abled people.&nbsp;
Dinklage called the film's remake hypocritical as he called out the studio, for taking pride in casting a Latina actress but keeping its backward storyline the same.&nbsp;Dinklage further stated that maybe his attempt to speak for his community has not been &lsquo;loud&rsquo; enough.

The original &lsquo;Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs&rsquo; was based on an 1812 fairy tale from 'The Brothers Grimm', though the dwarfs in the original&nbsp;story lived in a cottage, not a cave.&nbsp;Disney had also been criticized as being ableist for portraying that dwarfs have lesser intelligence and Snow White was seeing them as children.&nbsp;
