Dell has unveiled its latest array of laptops in India, incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) across its consumer and gaming portfolios. This includes updates to the Dell XPS, Dell Alienware, and Dell Inspiron series, aiming to cater to a wide range of users from professionals to gamers.
<h3>Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 with AI- Features, Price in India</h3>
The Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 are enhanced by Intel Core Ultra processors and feature NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics. Both models offer OLED InfinityEdge displays with Dolby Vision, protected by Gorilla Glass 3, and are complemented by quad-speaker setups with Dolby Atmos.&nbsp;
These models will be available starting April 25, with XPS 14 priced at Rs 1,99,990 and XPS 16 at Rs 2,99,990.&nbsp;
The release highlights a new futuristic XPS design with a built-in AI key and notes that both devices include a neural processing unit (NPU), marking a significant shift from reliance solely on CPU or GPU for processing.

However, the company anticipates increased input costs and ongoing adjustments to its relationship with VMware, leading to further revenue reductions in other business segments.
In a notable shift, Dell has introduced a new return-to-office policy, categorizing employees as either 'hybrid' or 'remote'. Under this policy, remote workers are reportedly ineligible for promotions or role changes within the company unless they transition to a hybrid work model, requiring at least three days per week in the office. This change has sparked concerns among employees about career advancement and work-life balance.
The move away from remote work represents a departure from Dell's previous flexible work culture. During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dell, like many other technology giants, embraced remote work, allowing 60% of its workforce to operate from home regularly. However, as the pandemic subsides, the company has revised its remote work policies.
Initially, in March 2023, Dell mandated employees living within an hour of its offices to commute at least three days a week. Now, this requirement extends to a broader segment of the workforce regardless of their proximity to Dell offices.
While some lower-paid employees may have the option to continue full-time remote work, insiders suggest that doing so could potentially hinder career advancement prospects. Workers residing farther away from Dell's offices are being compelled to commute, with remote work being viewed as a "career-limiting" choice.

Dell has launched a range of products at CES 2023, including the world's first 6K monitor with IPS Black panel technology and a range of gaming laptops.
The U3224KB monitor is a 31.5-inch productivity display with 6K resolution, a wide viewing angle, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, and 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. It also has a built-in 4K intelligent HDR webcam and various connectivity options. In addition to this, Dell unveiled the world's first 500Hz gaming monitor.
The Alienware AW2524H gaming monitor sports a 24.5-inch full-HD screen with 0.5 millisecond response time, and TUV certification, as well as a smaller base and retractable headset hanger.
Dell has also released six new gaming laptops: the Alienware m18, m16, x16, x14, and the Dell G16 and G15. The x14 R2 is the thinnest Alienware laptop yet, with a 16:10 QHD+ display and support for NVIDIA G-Sync and Advanced Optimus technology. It is powered by 13th Gen Intel Core processors and can be upgraded to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 GPU configuration.

There is no word yet on the exact launch dates or pricing details of the Dell XPS 13 Plus in India.
<h2>Dell XPS 13 Plus design</h2>
Dell has completely overhauled the design of the Dell XPS 13 Plus. For starters, they&rsquo;ve done away with the function key row on the keyboard, replacing it with capacitive touch buttons. The keyboard itself extends all the way to the sides, and there&rsquo;s no space between the keys, making for a minimalist look.
And finally, the touchpad is completely seamless with the body of the laptop, with no clear indentation or marking, and will use haptic feedback to simulate clicks, much like the MacBook.

Under the hood, the Dell XPS 13 Plus will be powered by Intel&rsquo;s 12th-Gen Core i5 or Core i7 processors, with the highest configurable option offering 14 cores and 20 threads. The processors will also use more power, with a TDP of 28W, compared to 15W on the standard XPS 13.
The XPS 13 Plus also gets upgraded to LPDDR5 RAM, with a choice from 8GB to 32GB, and PCIe 4.0 SSDs, with a choice from 256GB to 2TB.
There are 4 available display options with the Dell XPS 13 Plus &mdash; an FHD+ LCD with touchscreen and non-touch options, a 4K LCD touchscreen, and a 3.5K OLED touchscreen.
The laptop will be just 15.3mm thick, and weigh 1.24kg. Dell also promises 55% more airflow for cooling than the previous generation XPS 13.
