A 55-year-old man and his son were shot at early Friday by their neighbour and his associates in northeast Delhi's Yamuna Vihar over a parking issue, police said.
Virender Aggarwal was shot in the chest and his son Sachin Aggarwal, 25, was wounded in his hand in the firing. They were rushed to Max hospital and are stated to be out of danger, a senior police officer said.
According to police, the incident took place Friday around 1 am when the victims were returning home from a wedding. As they approached their residence, they saw a neighbour's car parked on the road in a way that blocked the road, they said.
They asked the neighbour, Arif, to move his car and an argument broke out. The situation was for a while placated after Arif's landlord Furqan and other local people intervened, police said.
Later, Arif barged inside the Aggarwals' house, a building in front of his rented accommodation, and started arguing with the family, the officer said.

The argument escalated and Arif and his associates opened fire, injuring Virender and Sachin, police added. The victim deals in building materials.
Virender's other son Saurabh Aggarwal said 10-15 rounds were fired by the group.
Police said local people managed to catch one of Arif's two associates. He The locals alleged that the accused, who was taken to GTB hospital, seemed under the influence of some intoxicant, police said, adding that medical examination will clear it.
According to police, Arif deals in second-hand cars and had shifted to the neighbourhood around seven to eight months ago.

A class 12 student sustained a shrapnel injury in her hand on Sunday after being fired upon by a 22-year-old man who was later found dead near a railway track in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh, police said.
The 17-year-old girl has been admitted to a hospital.
"The body of the man, identified as Rahul Kushwaha, has been sent for postmortem," city Superintendent of Police (CSP) Shweta Gupta told PTI.
The exact cause of Kushwaha's death will be known once the postmortem report is ready.
As per the preliminary investigation, Kushwaha reached a school, located in Nazul area, at around 4 pm where a farewell party for students was going on. He called the girl outside and insisted she talks to him. When she refused, he fired a shot at her from a country-made pistol but missed the target.
"However, a shrapnel of the bullet hit the girl's hand," police said.
Hours after the incident, Kushwaha's body was found lying near railway tracks close to Mahugarha railway station, about 8 km from the Guna district headquarters, police said.
Gupta said the case is being investigated from all angles.

Police traced the suspect who revealed that he had kidnapped the child and shifted him to his maternal uncle Sunit Babu's residence in Aligarh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) Esha Pandey said.
He further revealed that his uncle's wife had given birth to four sons none of whom survived and that is why he wanted to present the minor to him, they said.
Police have rescued the child and arrested the uncle-nephew duo.

Shock and haemorrhage due to injury to the head, spine and lower limbs led to the death of the 20-year-old woman who was hit and dragged by a car in Delhi, according to a preliminary autopsy report which also indicated "no injury suggestive of sexual assault," police said on Tuesday.
Sources said that doctors who conducted the autopsy have opined that there were no injury marks on her private parts.
Her autopsy was conducted under the supervision of a medical board at the Maulana Azad Medical College premises on Monday.
"Shock and haemorrhage as a result of antemortem injury to the head, spine, left femur, and both lower limbs. All injuries produced by blunt force impact and possible with vehicular accident and dragging," said Sagar Preet Hooda, Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), quoting the report.
"Also, the report indicates that there is no injury suggestive of sexual assault. The final report will be received in due course. Further investigation in the case is underway," he said.
Anjali Singh was killed in the early hours of the New Year after her scooter was hit by a car, which dragged her for 12 km. Her body was found in Kanjhawala area. All five accused were sent to three days in police custody on Monday.
"There were no injury marks on the victim's private parts," a police source said after the postmortem.
However, the final report will be given after the receipt of chemical analysis and biological samples' reports, the sources said quoting the doctors.
They said the doctors who conducted the autopsy have also opined that "injury to the head, spine, left femur, and both lower limbs can collectively cause death in the ordinary course of nature".
"Injury to the head, spine and long bone can cause death independently and collectively in the ordinary course of nature," the doctors opined.

A 17-year-old girl on her way to school was attacked with acid on Wednesday by two bike-borne youths in West Delhi The girl is currently in Burns ICU of Safdarjung Hospital.

One of the alleged culprits has been detained, police said.
According to police, the matter was reported to them around 9 am and the victim was attacked in Mohan Garden area.
"A PCR call was received around 9 am regarding an incident of throwing acid on a girl in the area of Mohan Garden Police Station.
"It was stated that a girl aged 17 years was allegedly attacked with some acid-like substance by two persons on a bike around 7.30 am this morning," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) M Harsha Vardhan.
The girl was with her younger sister at the time of the incident, the officer said.
According to police, CCTV footage of the incident has captured two people throwing 'acid' at the girl.
The girl has named two persons who could be responsible for the attack, one of whom has been detained by police, the DCP added.
In a post on Twitter, Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal demanded justice for the school-going girl and criticised the government for not being able to enforce the ban on the over-the-counter sale of acid in the country.
"Acid was thrown at a school girl near Dwarka Mor. Our team is reaching the hospital to help the victim. Will get justice for the daughter. The Delhi Commission for Women has been fighting for years to ban acid in the country. When will the government wake up?" she wrote in a tweet in Hindi.
Aam Aadmi Party National Spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj also raised concerns over the &ldquo;increasing&rdquo; rate of crime in the national capital.
"LG Saab, you have Delhi Police and crime is increasing every day. Instead of interfering in the work of the Delhi government, you should concentrate on your work. After your arrival, crimes are increasing in Delhi," he tweeted in Hindi.

In a spine chilling case, Delhi police arrested a man for allegedly killing a woman, chopping her body into multiple pieces and spreading it across the city in a bid to hide the crime.
As per an NDTV report, the deceased identified as 26-year-old Shraddha was in a live in relationship with Aftab Ameen Poonawalla who committed the crime. He stepped out at 2 am everyday to dump the woman's body parts.
Citing sources the report further said, accused, identified as Aftab Ameen Poonawalla &nbsp;strangled his live-in partner Shraddha in a fit of rage after they had a fight on May 18. He later chopped her body into 35 pieces. Poonawalla then bought a fridge to preserve them and over the next 18 days, he disposed across Delhi.

The 52-year old took undue advantage of the concerns of Bhagaval Singh (68) and his wife Laila (59) over their financial problems, police said.
Shafi convinced the couple that human sacrifice would solve their financial issues and brought them under his influence. Singh was a traditional massage therapist.
On news reports that the trio was engaged in 'cannibalism,' he said that this possibility was also being investigated, but there was no evidence to confirm it.
The Commissioner said Shafi is a pervert and a sadist, with a mindset to cause injury, harm and death. "He will make up any story, trap anyone." He said Shafi faces many cases, including theft and rape, against him. In one of the rape cases, a 75-year-old woman was raped, and was inflicted injuries on various parts of her body.
The two victims had injuries in their private parts, Nagaraju said.
The senior police official said all the three accused have direct participation in both the killings, but the accused couple did not have a history of crime.
The probe to trace Padma, who went missing in September from Elamkulam near here led to the detection of killing of another victim, Roslin, a Chalakudy resident, who disappeared in June.

"All we had was a CCTV visual of a lady getting into a car with Shafi. Nothing else. Police team took the scientific route, traced them to the house at Elanthoor, questioned the couple and the whole incident unfolded," Nagaraju said.
According to the police remand report, the two victims underwent torture. The breasts of one of them had been chopped off. The body of the other victim was cut into 56 pieces by the accused persons.
The victims were tied to a cot before they were killed and the accused persons used a knife to inflict severe injuries on their private parts.
They were strangled by the trio before burying their chopped bodies in the pits on the premises of the couple's house in Elanthoor village of Pathanamthitta district, the report said.
"The accused conspired to conduct the human sacrifice with an intention to bring prosperity in the life of the second and third accused by pleasing the goddess in favour of Singh and his wife Laila," it said.
Shafi had lured one of the women and managed to bring her to Singh's house by offering her Rs 15,000 for sex work, it said.
The other woman was persuaded by promising a whopping Rs 10 lakh to act in a porn film and brought to the crime scene, the report added.
The chopped body parts of the killed women were exhumed on October 11.

Pulkit Arya is the son of Vinod Arya, a BJP leader from Haridwar, and a former chairman of Uttarakhand Mati Kala Board. Vinod Arya has been granted a state minister's rank but holds no post in the government.

Pintu Garia, an employee of the hostel's night canteen, allegedly climbed a pipe duct of the building and peeped into the women's washroom on Sunday night, an official said.
The accused was caught soon after because of the alertness of the hostel residents, he said.
On Monday, a 22-year-old woman approached the Powai police and an FIR was registered against Garia and officials of the institute were also informed, the official said.
The accused has been arrested under section 354C (voyeurism) of the Indian Penal Code, he said, adding that mobile phones in the man's possession did not have any videos or pictures of hostel women.

 A 27-year-old pregnant woman was crushed to death under the wheels of a tractor being forcibly driven away by the recovery agent of a leading finance company in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, a senior police official said on Friday.
The incident took place on Thursday and the victim, daughter of a differently abled farmer Mithilesh Mehta of Bariyanath under Ichak police station, was three months pregnant.
District superintendent of police, Manoj Ratan Chothe said a case of murder has been registered against four persons, including the recovery agent and manager of the private finance company.
A special investigation team headed by the deputy superintendent of police (HQ) Rajeev Kumar was formed to arrest those involved, the SP old reporters.
Mehta had told the police that he had received a message on his mobile phone on Thursday from Mahindra Finance Company, from which he had taken a loan for buying the tractor, that he should pay his outstanding dues amounting Rs 1.3 lakh immediately.
The company communication had also threatened to take away the tractor, which was parked at a nearby petrol pump on NH-33, unless the money was paid. The man had immediately rushed to the spot after receiving the message and found the recovery agent already driving away the tractor, the SP said. He ran after the moving tractor and told the recovery agent that he was willing to pay Rs 1.2 lakh immediately but the man insisted that the entire due should be cleared before he got back the possession of the equipment.
As the recovery agent refused to listen to the man's pleas and kept driving away the tractor, his pregnant daughter, who had reached the spot, ran after it and was crushed to death under its wheels, the SP said.
A large number of villagers, mostly women, demonstrated in front of the Hazaribagh collectorate with the body on Friday and demanded the immediate arrest of the manager and recovery agent of the finance company.
They also demanded Rs 20 lakh compensation to the victim's family.
The agitation was lifted two hours after the police assured them that all the culprits will be arrested soon.
The managing director and chief executive officer of Mahindra group, Anish Shah in a statement on Friday said "We are deeply saddned and disturbed by the Hazaribagh incident ... We stand with the family in this moment of grief." He assured to investigate the incident from all aspects and also undertake an examination of the practice of using third party collection agencies that has been in existence.
"We will extend all possible support to the authorities during the investigation into this tragic incident," the statement added.

The miscreants then went to Barauni Thermal Chowk, Barauni, Teghra, Bachwara, and Rajendra Bridge, and continued firing at people.

A 24-year-old man died after allegedly being thrown from the roof of a building by some uninvited guests during his friend's birthday party in Chhattisgarh's Janjgir-Champa district, police said on Friday.
Eight men were arrested on Thursday on the charge of murder following the incident which took place on the intervening night of August 31 and September 1 at Sri Krishna Tulsi Dharamshala in Champa police station area., PTI said. 
Quoting Kamleshwar Dewangan, a police officer, PTI reported the deceased was attending his friend Binni Dewangwan's birthday celebration. As the party, also attended by some women, was underway, Kiran Sarathi and Manish Sarathi whom nobody at the party knew turned up uninvited and started dancing, he said. When Kamleshwar and some others objected, the duo got into a fight with them and called their six friends to the spot.
The eight accused started thrashing Kamleshwar and his friends and as he tried to escape to the roof, they caught him and threw him down, the official said.
He died during treatment at a hospital in Bilaspur.
Manish, Kiran and six others were arrested for murder and further probe is on, the police official said.

At least 10 people were killed and more than a dozen others were injured in stabbings in two remote Canadian communities Sunday, police said, as they launched a manhunt for two suspects.
Police responding to emergency calls found 10 dead in the Indigenous community of James Smith Cree Nation and the nearby town of Weldon, Saskatchewan, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore told a news conference.
"Several additional victims have been injured, 15 of which at this point have been transported to various hospitals," she said.
Yet more victims may have made their way to hospitals on their own, she added.
"We are actively looking for the two suspects," she said.
They have been identified as Damien and Myles Sanderson and described as 30- and 31-year-old males, both with black hair and brown eyes.
The suspects fled in a black Nissan Rogue, Blackmore added, and several checkpoints have been set up on highways and roads across the region, as "maximum" police resources were deployed for the search.
The James Smith Cree Nation, with a population of 2,500, declared a local state of emergency, while many residents of Saskatchewan province were urged to shelter in place.
"It is horrific what has happened in our province today," Blackmore said.
Weldon resident Diane Shier told local media her neighbor, a man who lived with his grandson, was killed. "I am very upset because I lost a good neighbor," she told the Canadian Press.
A dangerous person alert had been issued in the morning in Saskatchewan, as police responded to "multiple stabbings (in) multiple locations" in the Indigenous community and the town of Weldon.
Blackmore said police received a call at 5:40 am (11:40 GMT) about a stabbing at the James Smith First Nation, followed quickly by more calls reporting further stabbings.
She said authorities believe "some of the victims were targeted by the suspects and others were attacked randomly."
"To speak to a motive would be extremely difficult at this point in time," she added.
After reported sightings of the suspects in Regina, the provincial capital more than 300 kilometers (185 miles) to the south, the alert and search expanded to include neighboring Manitoba and Alberta provinces -- a vast region almost half the size of Europe.
In Regina, police chief Evan Bray said authorities were on high alert with additional officers deployed as fans descended on the city for a sold-out Labour Day weekend game between the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority told AFP in a statement it had activated emergency protocols to deal with "a high number of critical patients."
"We can confirm that multiple people are being triaged and cared for at multiple sites and that a call for additional staff to help respond to this situation has occurred," it added.
Three helicopters had been dispatched from Saskatoon and Regina to the remote northern communities to transport stabbing victims and bring a doctor to the scene.
