Discussing Kartik&rsquo;s physical transformation, he said, &lsquo;At the beginning, I gave him basic movements like squats, pull-ups, and push-ups, and he couldn&rsquo;t do any of it! I knew he had gained weight for Freddy, but the fact that he couldn&rsquo;t do these basic movements really shocked me.&rsquo;</p>

The Kabir Khan directorial earned ₹4.75 crore on day one and ₹7 crore on day two. Early estimates suggest the film made ₹10 crore on day three, bringing its total collection in India to ₹21.75 crore. The film had an overall 32.47% occupancy in Hindi on June 16.</p>
<p>With June 17 being an Eid holiday, &lsquo;Chandu Champion&rsquo; has an opportunity to sustain its momentum at the box office. However, it will soon face competition from Nag Ashwin's highly anticipated film, &lsquo;Kalki 2898 AD&rsquo;, set to release on June 27. In the meantime, &lsquo;Chandu Champion&rsquo; is competing with the horror-comedy &lsquo;Munjya&rsquo;, which has already crossed the ₹50 crore mark.</p>

Despite the underwhelming collection on day 1, the film might gain momentum on weekend with positive word of mouth and Monday being a holiday. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The film turned out to be Kartik&rsquo;s lowest opening film in almost a decade. His last film, &lsquo;Satyaprem Ki Katha&rsquo; had made almost double the amount than his recent release on day 1. His first film post pandemic, &lsquo;Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2&rsquo;, had also earned Rs 14.11 crore. &nbsp;</p>

<p>&lsquo;Chandu Champion&rsquo; is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.</p>
<p>The film is based on the extraordinary real-life story of Chandu and his spirit of never giving up.</p>
<p>This project will bring Sajid and Kartik together once again.</p>
<p>Sajid Nadiadwala and Kartik Aaryan recently treated the audience with 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' which is currently doing well at the box office.</p>
<p>The film is garnering immense love from all and has strong word of mouth for its music, love story, and Kartik Aaryan&rsquo;s chemistry with Kiara Advani.</p>
<p>&lsquo;Satyaprem Ki Katha&rsquo;, directed by Sameer Vidwans, has earned over 30 crore at the domestic box office so far.</p>
