The Robin Teapot, which was meant to be a gift for Britain&rsquo;s King Edward VII, will be up for auction on September 19. The artefact is expected to be sold for Rs. 12 lakhs.
The Woolley and Wallis auction house in Salisbury clarified that the teapot, which was originally originally commissioned by King Edward VII's wife, was no longer a part of the Royal Collection.
Reports say that the teapot was crafted by William James Goode in 1876.
Describing the teapot, the auction house wrote that it was &ldquo;modelled as a fluffed-up robin with tail erect and beak agape.&rdquo;&nbsp;

One of Britain's most prolific serial killers was convicted of killing 15 patients, but he is believed to have murdered as many as 250 between 1971 and 1998. He injected his patients with a lethal dose of morphine.

Nurse Beverley Allitt was found guilty of killing or attacking 13 sick children. In the early 1990s, Allitt murdered four children by administering fatal doses of insulin.&nbsp;
Victorino Chua
Nurse Victorino Chua murdered two patients and poisoned others with insulin while working at the Stepping Hill hospital near Manchester in 2011. Chua described himself in a letter found at his home as "an angel turned into an evil person", writing that "there's a devil in me".
Colin Norris
The hospital nurse was jailed for life in 2008 with a minimum term of 30 years for murdering four frail and elderly patients and trying to kill a fifth at two hospitals in Leeds in 2002.
Benjamin Geen

The trial of nurse Lucy Letby, who was on Friday found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill another six, was one of the longest in British criminal history.
Here are some of the key points.
- Lucy Letby - Originally from Hereford in western England, Letby studied nursing at the University of Chester.
"I have always wanted to work with children," she told Manchester Crown Court during her trial.
Letby graduated in 2011 and started full-time at the Countess of Chester Hospital the following year, joining the neo-natal unit.
In 2015, she qualified to work on intensive care babies, which would have allowed her to work with the sickest babies in the unit.
She had an active social life, attended salsa classes, travelled and went to the gym, the court heard.
- Victims - Letby was accused of harming 17 babies, some of them just days old, between June 2015 and June 2016.
In the majority of cases she is believed to have injected them with air but prosecutors also accused her of introducing insulin or too much milk.
The jury found her guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six others on the 22nd day of deliberations.
She was found not guilty on two counts of attempted murder and the jury could not reach a verdict on six attempted murder charges.
Among her victims were a twin brother and sister and two triplet boys.
The names of the babies were not allowed to be reported and are instead referred to as baby A through to Q.
Letby is said to have on several occasions carried out Facebook searches for the parents of babies that she allegedly attacked.
She said she would look up people when she was thinking about them.
- Suspicion - The neo-natal unit saw a "significant" increase in the number of babies dying and suffering serious collapses during the period in question, prosecutor Nick Johnson said at the trial.
A search for the cause revealed "one common denominator" and that was Letby, he added.
Following the deaths of two triplets in June 2016, Letby was removed from the neo-natal unit and placed on clerical duties.
"It was life-changing, in that moment I was taken away from the support system I had on the unit, I was put in a role I did not enjoy and I had to pretend it was voluntary," Letby told the court.
Letby said it was "devastating" when she received a letter from the Royal College of Nursing that blamed her for the deaths of the babies.
She told the court she was prescribed anti-depressants, which she is still taking, and admitted to having thoughts of harming herself.
- Arrests &amp; search - Letby was arrested and released twice, her first arrest in July 2018. On her third arrest in 2020 she was formally charged and placed into custody.
Among the items found during a search of Letby's home was a Post-it note on which she wrote: "I don't deserve to live. I killed them on purpose because I'm not good enough to care for them".
"I am evil I did this," she wrote in capital letters.
Letby claimed the note was written around the time she was removed from the neo-natal unit, leaving her feeling like she "had done something wrong".
The prosecution said police also found a "large quantity" of hospital paperwork relating to several of the children that she is accused of harming.
- Letby's defence - Representing Letby, lawyer Ben Myers said it's important that "blame is not heaped on that woman", while there may be others who made mistakes or systems that had failed.
He described Letby as a "dedicated nurse", who "cared deeply" for the babies and their families.
Myers also said there was "no direct evidence" of Letby committing the crimes and pointed to the condition of the babies at birth, saying they were "clinically fragile".
He also said the unit had staffing issues at the time.
Letby has repeatedly denied hurting or wanting to hurt the babies, saying "that's completely against what being a nurse is".
She had suggested that a "gang" of four hospital consultants had conspired to pin the blame on her "to cover failings at the hospital".

The King's portrait will be featured on all four polymer banknotes of &pound;5, &pound;10, &pound;20 and &pound;50. The rest of the existing design on the notes will remain the same. The Bank of England said that the new notes would be expected to enter circulation by mid-2024.

Britain's 17th-century St Edward's Crown, the centrepiece of the Crown Jewels, has been removed from display to be altered for the coronation of King Charles III, Buckingham Palace said on Saturday.
The solid gold crown, encrusted with rubies, amethysts, sapphires, garnet, topazes and tourmalines, will undergo "modification work" for Charles III's coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6 next year, the palace said.
The crown is the centrepiece of the Crown Jewels, a large collection of royal regalia housed in the Tower of London that attracts more than a million visitors per year.
It has a purple velvet cap with an ermine band, is just over 30 cm (one foot) tall and very heavy.
It was last worn by Queen Elizabeth II, at her coronation in 1953.
Charles III, 74, will be crowned along with his wife, Queen Consort Camilla.
The ceremony will be followed by a national holiday on May 8.
The crown was made for King Charles II in 1661 to replace a mediaeval crown though to date back to Edward the Confessor.

The head of Britain's Royal Navy said he is &ldquo;deeply disturbed&rdquo; by allegations that female submariners were bullied and sexually harassed and has ordered an investigation.
The Daily Mail newspaper carried claims Saturday by former Navy Lt Sophie Brook that she faced &ldquo;a constant campaign of sexual bullying&rdquo; as well as physical assaults. She said male crew members on submarines were &ldquo;like vultures whenever a new female would come in".
Brook alleged the men kept a &ldquo;crush depth rape list&rdquo; ranking female colleagues in the order they should be raped in the case of a catastrophic event.
Brook, 30, left the Royal Navy earlier this year and was later given a suspended jail sentence for sharing in an email sensitive information about her submarine's movement.
The newspaper quoted another, anonymous, navy whistleblower as saying women were constantly pestered for sex aboard submarines.
Women make up about 10% of full-time Royal Navy personnel and have been eligible to serve on submarines since 2011.
The head of the navy, Adm Ben Key, said, &ldquo;these allegations are abhorrent.&rdquo; &ldquo;Sexual assault and harassment has no place in the Royal Navy and will not be tolerated,&rdquo; he said in a statement.
&ldquo;I have directed my senior team to investigate these allegations thoroughly. Anyone who is found culpable will be held accountable for their actions regardless of their rank or status,&rdquo; Key said.
The Ministry of Defence did not comment on specific allegations but said it accepted that more needs to be done about inappropriate behaviour. It said it is improving reporting mechanisms for sexual offences.

Earlier in a tribute to the Queen, Biden described the late monarch as "decent" and "honourable".
Speaking at Lancaster House, having signed the official book of condolence for the Queen, Biden said his country's "hearts go out" to "all the people of the United Kingdom".
"You were fortunate to have had her for 70 years, we all were," he said, adding: "The world is better for her."

The throne had passed to the 73-year-old former Prince of Wales following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on Thursday and Saturday&rsquo;s ceremony marked his formal declaration and oath taking at St. James&rsquo;s Palace in London.
King Charles was joined by his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, and his son and heir Prince William &ndash; the new Prince of Wales.
The King had travelled back from Balmoral Castle in Scotland on Friday, where the Queen's health deteriorated and she breathed her last.
Flags lowered atop the palace in mourning for the late Queen were brought back up to full mast after the Accession Council proclamation, which followed a wave of further proclamations across the UK to go into Sunday &ndash; when flags will return to half-mast in a state of mourning for the Queen.
&ldquo;As the Queen herself did with such unswerving devotion, I too now solemnly pledge myself, throughout the remaining time God grants me, to uphold the constitutional principles at the heart of our nation,&rdquo; Charles said in his first televised address as King on Friday evening.
&ldquo;And to my darling Mama, as you begin your last great journey to join my dear late Papa, I want simply to say this: thank you. Thank you for your love and devotion to our family and to the family of nations you have served so diligently all these years. A Principal Proclamation was read in public for the first time by the Garter King of Arms from the balcony overlooking Friary Court at St James's Palace, accompanied by a 41-gun salute fired by The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery at Hyde Park in London.
The Privy Council, which includes politicians, senior members of the clergy and Supreme Court justices, first gathered without the King to proclaim the new monarch and arrange business relating to the proclamation.

Following the proclamation, King Charles III held his first Privy Council meeting and made his personal declaration to "assume the duties and responsibilities of sovereignty" and follow in the footsteps of his late mother.
On Friday, the King held his first audience with British Prime Minister Liz Truss at Buckingham Palace, soon after he was greeted with applause and cheers by large crowds gathered at the palace gates in mourning for the Queen and to catch a glimpse of the new monarch and his Queen Consort.
&ldquo;It was so touching to see so many people&hellip; It&rsquo;s a moment I&rsquo;d been dreading, but one must try and keep going,&rdquo; Charles was heard saying to Truss, in a brief clip released of his first audience as the Prime Minister expressed her condolences.
While formal details are to be released by Buckingham Palace, it is expected that the Queen will lie in state at Westminster Hall in London for the public to pay their respects.
In the coming days, the Queen's coffin will depart her Balmoral estate for the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh &ndash; the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland. From here, it will be taken in procession to St. Giles' Cathedral in the city, where the Queen will lie at rest, allowing the public to view her coffin.
The coffin will then move to London, ready for lying in state for around four days before her funeral.&nbsp;
