Actor Pankaj Triptahi reacted on the ongoing protests demanding the rollback of the Agnipath scheme on Tuesday and said that people have the right to protest in a democracy but it should be done in a peaceful manner. 'If in any protest, there is damage to the government’s property, then it means damage to the country’s property… In this country everyone has the right to speak their mind and peacefully protest. That’s how it should be,” Pankaj said during a press conference in Delhi.
Protests erupted in several states after the Central Government announced the new military recruitment scheme on June 14. The scheme provides for the admission of youths in the age group of 17.5 years to 21 years for a four-year stint with a provision to retain 25 per cent of each specific batch for 15 more years. Those who will be enrolled in regular cadre will be given the ex-servicemen status.
After violent protests against the scheme, the Centre extended the upper age limit to 23 years for recruitment this year.
Pankaj Tripathi was in the national capital for the promotion of his forthcoming film 'Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga' along with filmmaker Srijit Mukherji.
The film, which also stars Neeraj Kabi and Sayani Gupta in key roles, will be released in theatres on June 24.

As his home state of Bihar saw widescale arson during a protest against the Narendra Modi government's Agnipath scheme for the armed forces, actor <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/pankaj-tripathi-celebrates-18th-wedding-anniversary-with-wife-mridula-shares-pics-1642325606386" target="_blank">Pankaj Tripathi</a> reminded the youth that violence was not an acceptable way of protest.&nbsp;
Backing the right to peaceful dissent, the actor however reminded India's youth that the damage to the government&rsquo;s property means damage to the country&rsquo;s property

Goenka while highlighting Anand Mahindra's tweet wrote “The RPG group too welcomes the opportunity to employ the Agniveers. I do hope other corporates will also join us to take this pledge and assure our youths of a future.”
Anand Mahindra said the Mahindra Group will employ these Agniveers. He wrote, “Saddened by the violence around the Agneepath program. When the scheme was mooted last year I stated- and I repeat-the discipline and skills Agniveers gain will make them eminently employable. The Mahindra Group welcomes the opportunity to recruit such trained, capable young people.”

Protest over the "Agnipath" scheme continued to the third day. A huge crowd of youth gathered at the various railway stations across the country.
Now Madhya Pradesh's Indore reported the same where protestors indulged in stone-pelting and forced the railway authorities to stop some trains, Indore police commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra told.
When the situation gone out of control polices uses tear gas shells and are also cane-charged to disperse the mob.
Miahra further added in an incident, two police officers got minor injuries, and so far police have arrested 15 protestors and necessary action will be taken against them.

Protests over the Agnipath scheme introduced by the Modi government erupted in Madhya Pradesh's Indore with demonstrators indulging in stone-hurling clashes.&nbsp; Indore police commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra said the protesters forced the railway authorities to stop some trains.
When the situation went out of control, police used tear gas shells and batons to disperse the mob.
Two police officers received minor injuries, and so far police have arrested 15 protestors.
