Actor Agastya Nanda, who made his Bollywood debut in December 2023 with the Netflix film 'The Archies', has finally joined Instagram.
The grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan dropped a sun-kissed photo of himself.
Agastya received a warm welcome from his family and friends. His sister, Navya Naveli Nanda, wrote, "Welcome." His mother, Shweta Bachchan, expressed her love, saying, "Love and hugs, baby boy." Arjun Kapoor greeted him with, "Welcome Aggy boy!!!" Zoya Akhtar also left a friendly comment, saying, "Hello there (heart emoji)."
Gauri Khan, whose daughter Suhana Khan is rumoured to be dating the actor, also commented on the post and sent a big hug to Agastya Nanda.
Gauri and Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana Khan also made her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar's &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo;. Agastya played Archie Andrews in the teen musical, while Suhana was seen as Veronica Lodge.
Agastya Nanda chose not to include a caption in his first post. In the photo, Agastya is seen sitting on a wooden floor, gazing directly into the camera. He sported a brown T-shirt paired with beige trousers.
Within just a few hours of creating his new Instagram account, Agastya had already amassed over 26.4K followers. Notably, some prominent figures like Suhana Khan, Gauri Khan, Shanaya Kapoor, Hansika Motwani, and other celebrities were among his followers, indicating a warm reception from the entertainment industry and his peers.

&lsquo;The Archies,&rsquo; based on the American comic book series of the same name, was produced by Tiger Baby Productions and directed by Zoya Akhtar. This film was released on Netflix on December 7. It is set in 1960s India, and it follows Archie and the gang as they navigate themes of romance, friendship, and the future of Riverdale. The plot revolves around developers threatening to destroy a beloved park, adding an element of conflict to the story.
Apart from Agastya and Suhana, it featured Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper, Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Dot as Ethel Muggs and Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley.
Agastya&rsquo;s big screen debut
According to a recent report by Pinkvilla, Agastya is set to play the lead role in filmmaker Sriram Raghavan's upcoming film &lsquo;Ekkis.&rsquo; This movie is a biopic of the 1971 war hero Arun Khetarpal and will also feature Dharmendra in a significant role, as mentioned in the report. Agastya is expected to commence shooting for &lsquo;Ekkis&rsquo; later this month, marking an important step in his acting career.

Agastya Nanda&rsquo; made his acting debut with &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo; that released on December 7 and now the actor has bagged a Sriram Raghavan directorial for January 2024.
Sriram Raghavan is currently busy with the shooting of &lsquo;Merry Christmas&rsquo;. He will soon start shooting for &lsquo;Ekkis&rsquo; with debutante Agastya. The film is a biopic on 1971 war hero, Arun Khetarpal. &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo; actor will play the lead role in the film. Veteran actor Dharmendra will also be seen in the movie in a key role.
India Today quoted a source saying, "December and the first half of January will be spent by Agastya in reading the script and also doing some workshops to rehearse for the schedule ahead. Sriram wanted a young actor to play the part of Arun Khetarpal and feels that Agastya fits the role like a hand in a glove. After months of prep, Sriram and Agastya are now all set to commence the journey of bringing the heroic tale to the big screen."
&lsquo;The Archies&rsquo; premiered on Netflix on December 7. The Zoya Akhtar directorial also stars Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Dot and Mihir Ahuja, among others in significant roles.

Agastya Nanda, who will be seen portraying the role of Archie Andrews in the forthcoming Netflix film &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo;, was asked if he is similar to his character at a recent event.
Speaking with India Today, Agastya said that he is &lsquo;definitely not a casanova&rsquo;.
Agastya said, &lsquo;I wouldn't call myself a casanova. Something that we do share in common is our love for music, because it helps you deal with a lot of emotions and that's where we are kind of similar, and yes, I am definitely not a casanova. I don't think you choose The Archies. It was Zoya who chose and we auditioned for it.&rsquo;
He added, &lsquo;Being on Netflix is such an exciting opportunity, being streamed in 190 countries at once. I find it so exciting. I couldn't have asked for a better team of people to work with. These guys over here have become my best friends and we hang out a lot, actually a bit too much.&rsquo;
Agastya also revealed that his role model is his late grandmother, Ritu Nanda.
Agastya said, &lsquo;I have always aspired to be like her. She just had this warmth about her that if you were around her, you could feel like you could do anything. I wish to be like that, to give people around me all that positivity and love.&rsquo;
For the unversed, Agastya is the son of Nikhil Nanda and Shweta Bachchan. He has a sister Navya Naveli Nanda. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are his maternal grandparents.

Set in the 1960s, the Netflix movie is the Indian adaptation of the popular American comic Archies Comics. It follows the life of popular fictional teenagers Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, and Reggie Mantle, among others.
