Poco M6 5G launching in India on December 22: Likely to be the most affordable 5G smartphone

Poco India is set to launch their new smartphone, the Poco M6 5G, adding another device to their M6 series. This launch follows their previous release, the Poco M6 Pro 5G in September 2023. The Poco M6 5G is a successor to the Poco M4 5G, introduced in April 2022.

Poco M6 5G India Launch: Date and Design

The launch date for the Poco M6 5G is December 22 in India. Poco has tagged this smartphone as "The Real 5G Disrupter," suggesting it will be affordable. The launch will be a virtual event streamed on Poco 's social media channels starting at noon. The smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart.

In terms of design, the Poco M6 5G will come in a purple shade. It features a water-drop notch for the selfie camera and a clean design on the left side, with only a SIM card tray. The right side of the phone has the power and volume buttons.

The back of the phone has a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera with AI support, in a large rectangular design with the Poco branding.

Poco M6 5G Specs: Expected Features

There are rumours that the Poco M6 5G might be similar to the Redmi 13C 5G. The expected features include a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, up to 8GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. It will likely run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

The phone's cameras are expected to include a 50MP AI dual camera on the back and a 5MP front camera.

The Poco M6 5G is also expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. Additionally, it should include a 3.5mm audio jack.

The exact price in India for the Poco M6 5G has not been announced yet, but it's anticipated to be budget-friendly. Poco is known for offering good value for money, and the Poco M6 5G is expected to continue this trend.
