Asus just made your mouse smell like marshmallows—and yes, it’s delightful

From pastel aesthetics to actual perfume built-in, Asus’ new Marshmallow Mouse and Fragrance Mouse MD101 are giving desk vibes a whole new twist.

Asus just made your mouse smell like marshmallows—and yes, it’s delightful

In a tech landscape obsessed with AI, RGB lights, and all things “pro,” Asus has decided to take a refreshingly different path—through your nose. The company has just launched two new wireless mice, and one of them doesn’t just click—it smells like dessert.

The Marshmallow Mouse: a treat for your desk

First up is the Marshmallow Mouse, which does exactly what its name suggests. Available in soft, pastel tones that could easily pass for stylish home décor, this mouse is scented like marshmallows—yes, really.

It’s designed for users who want their workspace to feel as good as it looks. When paired with the newly refreshed Marshmallow Keyboard KW100, now in Rose Clay and Iridescent White, it creates a quiet, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing desk setup that brings a touch of sweetness to your day.

Fragrance Mouse MD101: bringing scent into the workflow

The real showstopper, though, is the new Fragrance Mouse MD101. Unlike anything else in the market, this mouse features a built-in refillable fragrance chamber. Asus has collaborated with iconic Indian fragrance house Eze Perfume to create a unique scent experience that’s far from ordinary.

The fragrance blend begins with fruity notes of peach and freesia, moves through rose and sandalwood, and finishes with warm musk, vanilla, and amber. It’s designed to create a calming, layered aroma as you work—turning even the most mundane tasks into something a little more pleasant.

But don’t be fooled by the soothing exterior—the MD101 is packed with features: ultra-silent clicks rated for 10 million presses, smooth PTFE feet, adjustable DPI settings, and dual-mode wireless via Bluetooth and 2.4GHz. It even comes with two vials of fragrance in the box, and the scent chamber is washable and refillable.

A scented spin on productivity

According to Arnold Su, Vice President of PC & Gaming at Asus India, the idea was to create a “unique form of interaction” that elevates the workspace. And it certainly does.

Whether you prefer the soft sweetness of the Marshmallow Mouse or the elegant fragrance of the MD101, Asus is clearly exploring new ways to personalise your tech. And this time, it’s through scent.

The Fragrance Mouse MD101 is priced at ₹1,999, while the Marshmallow Keyboard KW100 retails for ₹2,499. Both are available across Asus Exclusive Stores, Amazon, Flipkart, and the Asus e-shop. If you’ve ever wanted your desk to smell as good as it looks—this is your moment.
