Amazon Echo Dot fifth-gen launched in India

Amazon India has launched its fifth-generation Echo Dot smart speaker in India.

It comes in Black, Blue, and White colour variants and is priced at ₹5,499, but Amazon India is briefly offering it at an introductory price of ₹4,999.

The Echo Dot has an orb-like design with a mesh-like fabric cover and a 1.73-inch front-firing speaker that supports lossless high-definition sound.

It is powered by the AZ2 Neural Edge processor for faster Alexa responses and tap gestures.

Its accelerometer enables tap gesture controls, while the Ultrasound Motion Detection technology allows customers to create smart home routines.

The Echo Dot fifth-gen also has an in-built temperature sensor that can be used to set up helpful routines.
