With India all set to play New Zealand in the World Test Championship final, here are the last 5 Test encounters between the two sides

Christchurch Test (Feb 2020)

India's last Test match vs New Zealand was played in February last year in Christchurch. Kyle Jamieson rocked Virat Kohli's men with a 5-wicket haul in the 1st innings as Indian batting line-up failed to impress. The hosts won by 7 wickets.

Wellington Test (Feb 2020)

1st Test in Wellington on the same tour too produced a similar result. This time the Kiwis thrashed India by 10 wickets. Tim Southee ended the game with 9 wickets as Team India couldn't manage to cross 200 in both innings.

Indore Test (Oct 2016)

It was a completely different story when the Kiwis toured India in 2016. The hosts won the 3rd Test in Indore by a mammoth 321 runs. After a double hundred by skipper Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin ran through New Zealand's batting and ended the game with 13 wickets.

Kolkata Test (Sep-Oct 2016)

India comfortably won the 2nd of that series in Kolkata with ease as well. This time it were the pacers who rattled the Kiwis as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami picked up 12 wickets between them as India won by 178 runs.

Kanpur Test (Sep 2016)

The foundation of a Kiwi whitewash in the 2016 series was laid in Kanpur. Ashwin and Jadeja spun their web of destruction, claiming 16 wickets between them. In the end, India won by 197 runs.
