Euro 2020: Denmark beats Czech Republic 2-1, becomes third team to book its place in semis

Denmark has finally broken its 29-year-long dry spell, as they reached the Euro semi finals for the first time since 1992 after trumping the Czech Republic 2-1 on Saturday at the Baku Olympic Stadium, Azerbaijan.

A seemingly confident Denmark started off early with an opener from Thomas Delaney in the 5th minute, followed by another goal from Kasper Dolberg just minutes before halftime. With 2 goals, Kasper Hjulmand's men kept the game under their thumb in the first half.

The Czech Republic, however, had an electrifying start to the second half with Patrick Schik scoring his 5th goal of the tournament in the 49th minute, but the team still could not manage to score a spot for itself in the Euro semis.

After Spain and Italy, Denmark has now become the third team to book their place in the Euro 2020 semis.
