Amitabh Bachchan launches NFT collection, first Indian actor to do so

Amitabh Bachchan has become the first Indian actor to take a deep dive into the nascent world of digital assets.

The Bollywood actor has launched an NFT (Non-fungible tokens) collection, themed around his life and career. These NFTs will be available on BeyondLife.club, and will be developed by Rhiti Entertainment in collaboration with GuardianLink.io.

Posting a photo with Amitabh Bachchan, the Chairman and Managing Director of Rhiti Group, Arun Pandey, said that he was grateful to the actor and that he never thought he would launch Big B's NFT collection.

Among the NFTs up for grabs, are poems recited by Amitabh Bachchan from 'Madhushala', the renowned collection of poems by his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan, along with his anecdotes.

NFT or non-fungible tokens are unique digital tokens and as the name suggests can not be exchanged with anything else.

The digital tokens are really certificates of ownership either to something physical or virtual. These assets could be a piece of music, picture, meme, social media post, or even someone's identity. It has opened the world of art and auction to the evolving digital art world.
