WPL 2023: Delhi Capitals cruise to a 10-wicket victory against Gujarat Giants

Delhi Capitals walked all over Gujarat Giants as they cruised to a comfortable 10 wicket victory in the WPL at the D Y Patil Stadium on Saturday.

Opting to bat first, the Gujarat top order was bamboozled by Marizanne Kapp's bowling display whose fifer along with Shikha Pandey's 3/26 saw Gujarat struggle at 28/5 within 5 overs itself.

Kim Garth top scored for Gujarat with 32 runs and managed to take Gujarat to a paltry 105 in the end.

Chasing which, the Delhi opening duo of skipper Meg Lanning (21*) and Shafali Verma (76*) looked to finish things in a hurry and chased down the below par target within 8 overs.

Shafali Verma scored the tournament's 2nd fastest half-century in just 19 deliveries which steered Delhi to go level on points with the Mumbai Indians in the table.
