Visakhapatnam, Oct 13 (PTI) — In the Women's ODI World Cup fixture between South Africa and Bangladesh held on Monday, Bangladesh Women posted a competitive total.

Fargana Hoque contributed 30 runs but was dismissed lbw by Nonkululeko Mlaba. Rubya Haider added 25 runs before being caught by de Klerk off Chloe Tryon's bowling. Sharmin Akhter made a significant impact with her 50 runs before a run out orchestrated by Bosch and Jafta. The captain, Nigar Sultana, managed 32 runs but was caught by Wolvaardt off Mlaba.

Shorna Akter remained unbeaten with a stellar 51, while Sobhana Mostary was run out for 9 by Sekhukhune. Rabeya Khan was bowled out by Nadine de Klerk for a duck. Ritu Moni supported at the end with an unbeaten 19 runs. The team accrued 16 extras, bringing the total to 232 for 6 wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
