Ridhima and Jasmine Lead 11th Leg at Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour

Bengaluru, Aug 19 (PTI): Ridhima Dilawari and Jasmine Shekar, recent champions on the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour, are set to lead the field into the 11th leg of the tour at the stunning Prestige Golfshire, nestled at the foothills of the Nandi Hills, starting Wednesday. The event will see participation from prominent players like Vidhatri Urs and Neha Tripathi. A total of 29 professionals along with five amateurs will compete for a prize purse of Rs. 15 lakh.

Previously in July, Ridhima clinched the 10th leg victory after finishing as a runner-up twice this season. Jasmine secured a triumph in the ninth leg, narrowly defeating Neha Tripathi. Vidhatri Urs, however, is still in pursuit of her first win this season.

Other notable players entering the competition include Seher Atwal, Kriti Chowhan, Durga Nittur, Khushi Khanijau, and Anvitha Narender. The amateur lineup is captained by Mannat Brar, who has demonstrated commendable performances this season.

Ridhima, who stands second on the Order of Merit with Rs. 9,58,000 in earnings this year, has an opportunity to become the second player to surpass the Rs. 10 lakh milestone, following Vani Kapoor, who is currently participating in the Hills Open in Sweden.

For the first round, Ridhima is paired with Jahaanvie Walia and amateur Mannat Brar, whereas Jasmine will play alongside Geetika Ahuja and amateur Riddhima Singh.

Meanwhile, several Indian players, including regulars like Vani Kapoor, Amandeep Drall, Sneha Singh, and Hitaashee Bakshi, are competing on the Ladies European Tour this week.
