New Delhi, Nov 27 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Indian Women's cricket team on Thursday, celebrating their triumph at the inaugural Blind T20 World Cup. The team secured victory by defeating Nepal in the final by seven wickets, held in Colombo. The Indian Women's blind team claimed the championship in a six-team tournament, following the women's senior team's first-ever victory in the ODI World Cup.

The team members presented Prime Minister Modi with an autographed bat during their meeting, and he reciprocated by signing a ball for them. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi extended his congratulations to the Indian team for their remarkable achievement.

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, "Congratulations to the Indian Blind Women's Cricket Team for creating history by winning the inaugural Blind Women's T20 World Cup! Their unbeaten streak in the series is especially commendable. This is indeed a historic sporting achievement, showcasing hard work, teamwork, and determination. Each player is a champion!
