Assuring that the government is working without any bias, Thakur said that the government is in favour of a speedy investigation and a chargesheet will be filed soon.

Union minister Anurag Thakur has said that there is 'no element of bias' in handling the issue of protesting wrestlers, who are seeking the arrest of former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over sexual harassment allegations.

While addressing the Times Network India Economic Conclave, Thakur denied the allegations of no action being taken against the BJP MP and said, 'the due process of law must be followed

Assuring that the government is working without any bias, Thakur said that the government is in favour of a speedy investigation and a chargesheet will be filed soon.

He went on to add, 'Whether is it a sportsperson or any woman, the government wants justice delivered. at every step, it has listed to and conceded to the demands of the sportspersons'

Several Olympic and World Championships medal-winning wrestlers, including Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sangeeta Phogat, have been protesting in New Delhi demanding the arrest of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for allegedly sexually harassing several women grapplers, including a minor. The wrestlers recently threatened to immerse their medals in the river Ganga.
