'Was videographed without consent', Gymnast Aruna Budda Reddy warns of legal action

Aruna Budda Reddy, India's ace gymnast who won the bronze medal at the Gymnastics World Cup in 2018, has warned of taking legal action for getting videographed without consent.

Reddy in March 2022, took a fitness test in Delhi where she alleged that one of the SAI Coach Rohit Jaiswal's trainees had filmed her while she was undertaking the test. Later, the gymnast who trains under Manoj Rana mailed GFI president Sudhir Mittal demanding the video. In Mittal's response, Reddy got to know that the Federation had shot no video.

Upon learning this, the Telangana-based Gymnast informed SAI about the 'shot video' and warned to take legal action against the particular trainee of Rohit Jaiswal. In her mail, as per the TOI, Reddy wrote that she had evidence to prove her point and requested the federation to help her obtain the video. In any other case, I will be forced to take necessary steps as per law, she added.
