Tiger Woods could return to competitive golf and play Augusta Masters

The speculations around Tiger Woods' return to competitive golf have increased speculation after he played a practice round at the Augusta National on Tuesday. The Augusta Masters begins on 7th of April and since it's an invitational event, the American press seems to have come to a conclusion that the 15-time Major winner will be involved.

Woods has not competed in any top-level golf event since his horrific accident and surgery where he had multiple open fractures on his right leg along with injuries on his foot and ankle. The crash happened in February 2021 in Los Angeles and Tiger was subsequently forced to take a break from golf.

But on Tuesday, Tiger Woods' private jet was tracked on a flight from Florida where he resides to Augusta's small regional airport further cementing the speculations about his chances to play. There has been no official word from the Augusta Masters management yet the American media is reporting that Woods has had multiple practice rounds at the course and might get some exceptions to play the iconic tournament.
