India's double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu stormed into women's singles Singapore Open final with a resounding victory over Japan's Saena Kawakami on Saturday.

The ace Indian shuttler thrashed the World number 38, 21-15, 21-7 in just 32 minutes in the semifinals.

The 27-year-old who had earlier this year clinched 2 Super 300 titles, will compete for her maiden Super 500 title of the 2022 season on Sunday. With the win, PV Sindhu is assured of at least a silver medal at the tournament.

In the final, Sindhu will face the winner of the second semifinal clash between Japan's Aya Ohari and China's Wang Zhi Yi.
