Max Verstappen: F1 leader extends massive lead with dominant win at Belgian Grand Prix

In a display of sheer dominance, the defending Formula One champion, Max Verstappen, secured an emphatic victory at the Belgian Grand Prix, marking his eighth consecutive win this season and his 10th overall.

Starting from sixth place on the grid, Verstappen showcased his prowess and finished a staggering 22.3 seconds ahead of his teammate, Sergio Perez, granting Red Bull a comfortable 1-2 finish.

With this resounding triumph, Verstappen ominously drew closer to securing his third consecutive world title and will be aiming to equal his own F1 record of 15 wins achieved last year.

The Dutch driver now holds a significant lead of 125 points over Perez, an extraordinary feat after just 12 races. His next objective is to match Sebastian Vettel's F1 record of nine consecutive wins by claiming victory at the Dutch GP when the season resumes on August 27th.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc secured the third spot on the podium, earning his third podium finish of the season, while Lewis Hamilton, representing Mercedes, settled for fourth place, followed by Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin.
