Hungarian Grand Prix: Max Verstappen's dominant victory sets wins record for Red Bull F1 Team

Max Verstappen secured an impressive triumph at the Hungarian Grand Prix, marking his seventh consecutive win and ninth victory of the season. Notably, this victory also brought a remarkable milestone for his Red Bull team, as it marked their 12th consecutive win, an achievement dating back to the final race of the 2022 season in Abu Dhabi.

This incredible feat by Red Bull surpassed the previous record of 11 straight wins set by McLaren with the iconic duo Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost in 1988. The Hungarian Grand Prix witnessed fierce competition, with McLaren's Lando Norris successfully defending his position against Red Bull's Sergio Perez to secure a well-earned second place.

Lewis Hamilton, who started the race from the pole position, demonstrated his skill on the track but could not challenge the strong race pace of Verstappen's Red Bull. Despite closing in on Perez in the final laps, Hamilton couldn't make an overtaking move and settled for a respectable fourth-place finish.

Verstappen's run of five consecutive pole positions was interrupted by Hamilton on Saturday, who celebrated his first pole since 2021. However, Hamilton knew that it would be challenging to compete with the Red Bull's speed during the race.

At the start of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Verstappen's skillful manoeuvre allowed him to surge ahead, securing the lead position as they approached the first corner. From there, he maintained a dominant lead throughout the race, showcasing his unparalleled talent on the track. This victory extended his championship lead to an impressive 110 points ahead of his teammate Perez.
