Former Pakistan Prime Minister and World Cup-winning captain Imran Khan lambasted the BCCI for banning Pakistani players from playing in the Indian Premier League.&nbsp; Calling the Indian board arrogant, Imran while speaking on Times Radio said, 'If India does not allow Pakistan so be it, Pakistan should not worry about it'&nbsp; Khan further accused BCCI of behaving as a superpower in the cricketing world because of their ability to generate funds. I think they almost dictate now as a sort of arrogance of a superpower who they should play and who they shouldn't, he added.&nbsp; Pakistan had participated in the inaugural season of the cash-rich league in 2008 but because of the terror attacks in Mumbai that happened later that year India eventually banned Pakistani players from IPL.

According to PTI, ICC had already stated that no discussions relating to the Cricket World Cup 2023 were carried out with PCB as BCCI had assured that visa won't be a problem for the Men in Green.

Indian high jumper Tejaswin Shankar overcame a strong challenge from former world champion and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Donald Thomas of the Bahamas to win Gold at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston.
Shankar's jump of 2.26 metres saw him get the better of the 2010 CWG Gold medallist, who recorded a best of 2.23 metres.
24-year-old Shankar who won Bronze at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games cleared 2.14, 2.19, 2.23 and 2.26 metres on his first four attempts.

&ldquo;You need some time to understand new rules and acclimatise with new playing conditions. The same will be the case with all ten teams in the TATA IPL 2023. They will need some time to ace it,&rdquo; Gavaskar told Star Sports.

Former Indian cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Harbhajan Singh gave their approval to the new Impact player rule introduced by the BCCI in this year's IPL in which the teams will get to make a tactical substitution and bring in a player during their match.
Both the players said that the teams will need some time to get used to the new rule and utilise it according to the conditions.
&ldquo;You need some time to understand new rules and acclimatise with new playing conditions. The same will be the case with all ten teams in the TATA IPL 2023. They will need some time to ace it,&rdquo; Gavaskar told Star Sports.
&ldquo;It&rsquo;s a very innovative move as you can now replace a player whom you feel is not suitable or has served his purpose with someone who can make an impact in the current playing conditions. So, kudos to the BCCI, it&rsquo;s a very good rule,&rdquo; said Harbhajan.
