Leipzig, Germany - Aug 15 (AP) Leipzig is channeling a significant portion of the funds from Benjamin Sesko's transfer to Manchester United into acquiring Brazilian striker Rômulo.

On Friday, Leipzig confirmed the signing of the 23-year-old striker on a five-year deal from Goztepe. Rômulo had an impressive season, netting 17 goals in the Turkish league and cup competitions.

According to Germany's Kicker magazine, Leipzig is investing up to 25 million euros ($29.2 million) in this deal, with a 20 million euro transfer fee and additional potential add-ons.

Standing at 1.93 meters (6 feet, 4 inches), Rômulo closely matches Sesko in height, who recently joined United for a potential fee of 85 million euros ($99 million).
