Anirban Lahiri Finishes Tied-27th at LIV Golf Indianapolis

Westfield (USA), Aug 18 (PTI): Anirban Lahiri concluded his campaign at the LIV Golf event in Indianapolis with a score of two-under 69, securing a tied-27th finish. This result places him 25th in the individual standings of the LIV Golf League's regular season.

Lahiri posted rounds of 67-67-69 to achieve a 10-under total, while Sebastian Munoz emerged victorious in a playoff against Jon Rahm, after both ended with a score of 22-under.

Despite the playoff loss, Rahm topped the season standings, clinching his second consecutive season-long title.

Occupying the 25th spot, Lahiri missed the ‘Lock Zone’ by just one place, which secured a slot for 2026.

He finds himself in the ‘Open Zone’, allowing his team, Crushers, to either trade or release him.

Lahiri has played a crucial role in the Crushers squad, which is captained by Bryson DeChambeau, who secured the third position overall.

Rahm delivered a stellar performance, shooting a career-best 11-under 60, surpassing points leader Joaquin Niemann on the final day of a weather-delayed regular season at The Club at Chatham Hills.

This achievement provided Rahm a shot at his first tournament title of the season, yet he was once again bested in a playoff, this time by Munoz.

Rahm experienced mixed emotions after a season marked by four runner-up finishes and only a single instance of placing outside the top-10.

Rahm completed the season with a total of 226.16 points, narrowly edging out Niemann, who finished tied for fourth on Sunday, accumulating 223.68 points.
