Chasing an imposing total, LSG batters had to go from the word go but the hosts found it hard to get the big shots and were eventually bundled out for 137 in 16.1 overs.

Speaking after the victory during the post-match press conference, Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Harshit Rana was in all praise for mentor Gautam Gambhir. He credited Gambhir for reading the game well and said, "In the whole season so far, Whatever strategies Gautam Gambhir has made, has worked for us.
