IPL 2022 points table after Delhi vs Punjab match on May 16; purple, orange cap holders

With a thumping 17-run win, Delhi Capitals enter the top-4 of the IPL points table. Delhi Capitals make it to the 4th spot from 5th after spoiling Punjab Kings’ outing. With a better net run rate, Rishabh Pant's team replaces Royal Challengers Bangalore. Punjab remain at the 7th spot in IPL points table.

While Gujarat remain in the top spot with whopping 20 points, Rajasthan and Lucknow follow Hardik Pandya’s team on the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively on the IPL points table with 16 points each.

Moreover, Jos Buttler continues to be the leading run-scorer in IPL 2022 with 627 runs in 13 games and currently holding the orange cap. Yuzvendra Chahal has regained the purple cap from Wanindu Hasaranga after he got a wicket in the match against Lucknow Super Giants. Chahal now has 24 wickets in 13 games.
