Lucknow have strengthened their position in top half of the IPL 2022 team standing after registering their fifth win in the 15th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2022)

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) moved to the 4th spot on IPL 2022 points table after trouncing the five-time champions Mumbai Indians by 36 runs on Sunday (April 24). Now, Lucknow have five wins in 8 matches. Meanwhile, Mumbai's miseries are now extended to eight matches and they are certainly out of IPL 2022 play-offs contention.

Gujarat Titans are at the top of the IPL 2022 team standings with six wins in seven matches followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. After MI vs LSG match, four teams have 10 points and they are separated on the basis of net run rate. Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are at the 5th spot with 10 points, are the only team whose net run rate is negative.

Moreover, Rajasthan's Jos Buttler continues to hold the orange cap with the most 491 runs in 7 matches, including three centuries. While Lucknow captain KL Rahul moved to the second spot on the list of top run getters in IPL 2022 after scoring a 62-ball hundred against Mumbai today. Rahul now has 368 runs in 8 matches after scoring his second century of the season. Yuzvendra Chahal continues to hold the purple cap with 18 wickets in seven matches.
