After nearly going unsold at the mega auction, Umesh's performance in this match was spectacular. The right-arm fast bowler won the 'Player of the Match' award. With this achievement, he surpassed the likes of Rohit Sharma, Chris Gayle, and Yusuf Pathan. Umesh now has 6 player of the match awards against Punjab Kings which is the highest by any player against a team.
