IPL 2022, MI vs PBKS: Rohit Sharma joins Virat Kohli in THIS elite list of players

Mumbai Indians (MI) and Team India captain Rohit Sharma joined Virat Kohli in an elite list in T20 Cricket. Rohit became only the second Indian batter to complete 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. He reached the milestone during Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings match on Wednesday.

With 3313 runs in T20 International, Rohit Sharma is the highest run-getter for India followed by Kohli's 3296 runs. But Virat Kohli has outscored the Mumbai batter in the Indian Premier League with 6390 runs in 212 matches played so far.

Moreover, Rohit Sharma became the seventh batter overall to reach the 10,000-run mark. West Indian batter Chris Gayle is top of the list with 14, 562 runs in 463 T20s. He is followed by Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik, who scored 11,698 runs in 472 games. Rohit's IPL teammate Kieron Pollard is third on the list. Virat Kohli is in the fifth position on the list of batters who scored more than 10,000 runs in T20 cricket.
