IPL 2022, Match 46, SRH vs CSK preview: Struggling Chennai Super Kings take on Sunrisers Hyderabad

IPL 2022: The 5-match winning streak of Sunrisers Hyderabad had been broken in their last match and they would look to come back on the winning track when they take on Chennai Super Kings for the second time in IPL 2022 on Sunday at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Sunrisers Hyderabad had won their previous meeting.

Having won 2 in 8 matches, Ravindra Jadeja-led Chennai Super Kings are currently placed at 9th place in the points table and theoretically, they still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs. While the Ruturaj Gaikwad’s form has been a big concern for the team, Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu have been consistently performing well. Ambati Rayudu has played an exemplary knock of 78 off 39 balls in the previous match vs Punjab Kings and would look to maintain that rhythm against Hyderabad.

On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad had lost their previous match in a last ball thriller vs Gujarat Titans and with 5 wins in 8 matches they are placed 4th in the points table. While Abhishek Sharma has been brilliant in this IPL season and is consistently scoring runs for SRH, skipper Kane Williamson has been struggling to find his form. Aiden Markram and Rahul Tripathi are the backbone of the team and have been giving stability to the middle-order of SRH. The opponents have been struggling to get runs in front of the deadly duo of Umran Malik and T Natarajan and they will pose a challenge to CSK batters.
