IPL 2022, CSK vs GT: Rashid, Miller steal a thrilling win for Gujarat Titans from jaws of defeat

David Miller's 94-run masterclass and Rashid Khan's 40-run cameo helped Gujarat Titans (GT) to steal a win from the jaws of defeat as Hardik Pandya-less side beat Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets at MCA Stadium in Pune on Sunday.

Chasing a modest 170-run target, Gujarat were off to a horrid start as they were reduced to 87-5 in the 13th over. The chances of Gujarat's winning the game looked bleak before stand in captain Rashid displayed tremendous power-hitting skills and brought his team back in the game with 21-ball 40. Meanwhile, Miller kept one end intact and smashed a six and a four in the last over, and took Gujarat home with one ball to spare.

Earlier, Ruturaj Gaikwad got his mojo back with the bat as the CSK opener scored his first half-century of the season. After losing two quick wickets, Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu steadied CSK's innings with a 92-run stand. Gaikwad slammed five sixes and as many fours in his 73-run knock, while Ambati Rayudu hit 46 off 31 and smashed four boundaries and two maximums. But CSK's run rate hit a roadblock after the dismissal of Gaikwad and Rayudu. Ravindra Jadeja smashed two big sixes in the last over and powered CSK to 169-5.
