IPL 2022, GT vs RR, Final Preview: Can Rajasthan win the title for Shane Warne?

IPL 2022, Gujarat Titans (GT) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR), Final Preview: The two most dominating teams of this IPL, the debutants Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) will face each other in the IPL 2022 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans have been enjoying their maiden IPL season as they reached the final in their debut after crushing Rajasthan in Qualifier 1. The team also became the first team to qualify for the playoffs as they finished at the top of the points table with 10 wins in 14 matches.

On the other hand, the 2008 IPL champions Rajasthan Royals have reached their first final in 14 years and they would be looking to win the title for the late spin king Shane Warne who led the team to the tournament's maiden trophy in IPL 2008. Sanju Samson's Rajasthan had lost the Qualifier 1 to Gujarat but came back stronger against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Qualifier 2 to reach the final.

This match will not only decide the winner of the tournament but also decide who will win the Orange and Purple caps. Other than RCB's Wanindu Hasaranga, no other bowler is closer to RR's Yuzvendra Chahal who has taken 26 wickets so far with RR having one match in hand. Having scored 824 runs in 16 matches, Jos Buttler is leading the list of the batters with the most runs and in all possible ways, he is likely to win the Orange Cap this season.
