'Devastated': Cricket fraternity mourns Andrew Symonds shocking death

Millions of cricket lovers woke up to the devastating news of Australian legend Andrew Symonds passing away at the age of 46 in a car crash on Saturday night.

The swashbuckling cricketer who is regarded as the best all-rounder of his time is the third Australian Cricketer to lose his life in 2022 after Shane Warne and Rod Marsh. The explosive all-rounder who was popularly known as Roy was a part of 2 World Cup-winning squads of Australia in 2003 and 2007. His cricket colleagues from around the world expressed their grief as soon as they got the saddening news.

The aggressive batter died in a car accident in Townsville in northeast Australia. According to local media reports, Queensland Police said the accident occurred at Hervey Range, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) from Townsville.
