IPL 2023, PBKS vs LSG: Carnage in Mohali as Lucknow post 2nd highest total in IPL history

Carnage!
The people at Mohali witnessed a rampaging Lucknow Super Giants.

As many as 27 fours and 14 sixes were hit as Lucknow recorded the second highest total in IPL history, only behind RCB’s 263 against Pune Warriors India in 2013.

Even as KL Rahul perished early, the Super Giants were on the charge right from the word go.
First, it was Kyle Mayers’ breathtaking 24-ball 54, followed by Ayush Badoni’s 24-ball 43.

But the decisive blow was dealt by Marcus Stoinis who smashed his highest IPL score. Nicknamed the ‘Hulk’, the Australian thumped 6 fours and 5 maximums on his way to a 40-ball 72.

Nicholas Pooran too joined the party, with his 19-ball 45 ensuring Lucknow got to 257.
Stoinis & Pooran’s wickets in the final two overs slowed them down just a bit, otherwise the Super Giants would have made a new IPL record.
