New Delhi, Aug 19 (PTI) The landmark National Sports Governance Bill has officially become an Act after receiving President Droupadi Murmu's assent, signaling a new era for sports administration in India.

The Presidential assent, delivered on August 18, 2025, was confirmed through a Gazette notification issued by the central government.

"The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 18th August, 2025 and is hereby published for general information -- The National Sports Governance Act, 2025," the statement read.
