Team India defeated Australia by 6 wickets in the Nagpur T20I to take the 3-match series to the decider on Sunday.

In a curtailed game where fans lost 2.5 hours due to a wet outfield, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl in the 8-overs per side contest.

While Aaron Finch got going with a few lusty blows, Axar Patel once again proved his worth with the ball, taking 2/13 from his 2 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah, on his return to the Indian side, removed the Aussie captain with a searing yorker, one which even Finch himself applauded as he walked off.

But Matthew Wade was on song, producing yet another stunning display. He smashed an unbeaten 43 off 20, taking Harshal Patel to the cleaners as the visitors set India a target of 91.

In reply, Captain Rohit Sharma came out all guns blazing. He got India off to a flyer and even as wickets tumbled at the other end, he was in no mood to give up.

It was vintage Rohit that was on show, and he put on a stunning display of fireworks for the crowd.

While Rohit’s 46* off 20 balls was pivotal, Dinesh Karthik came out and hit a six and a four from 2 balls to give India a series-levelling victory in the final over.
