IND vs AUS 3rd ODI: Australia expose India's batting, win series decider

India may be a force to reckon with at home but Australia proved yet again why they are the biggest threat to the Men in Blue in their own den.

The Aussies beat Team India by 21 runs in the 3rd ODI in Chennai to win the 3-match series 2-1.

Opting to bat first, the visitors were off to a good start before Hardik Pandya ran through their top order and reduced the Aussies to 138/5.
However, a collective show with the bat helped the Kangaroos finish at 269.

Chasing which, openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave their side a good start but both fell in quick succession. Virat Kohli then dropped anchor and scored his 65th ODI fifty.

However, the game turned in just 2 deliveries when Ashton Agar first dismissed Virat for 54 and then cleaned up Suryakumar Yadav off the very next ball. An already bad series turned worse for Sky as it was his 3rd consecutive golden duck.

Shuffling the batting order didn't work out for India as the hosts were eventually bowled out for 248.

Despite a long batting line-up, the Men in Blue failed to chase down 270, which ended their 7-ODI series winning streak on home soil.
