Team India fielding coach T Dilip has made it a ritual to present a medal to the best fielder of the match after every ODI World Cup 2023 game.

Despite India not having the best of days on the field vs New Zealand on Sunday, the Men in Blue did manage to take some good catches.

But the medal for the best catch went to Shreyas Iyer, who took a low catch to dismiss an in form Devon Conway early on.

However, it wasn't a regular medal presentation in the dressing room but the fielding coach surprised the players by taking them outside, where spider cam delivered the medal to Iyer.

This left the players thrilled and the gesture proved to be the cherry on the cake following a hard-fought victory.
