Watch: Pakistan cricket team finally arrives in India for ODI World Cup 2023 after visa delay

The Pakistan cricket team has finally reached India. Babar Azam-led side arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad late on Wednesday evening. The Men in Green are back in India after a span of seven years, since their last appearance during the 2016 T20 World Cup.

Arriving via Dubai, the team had a 9-hour layover in the UAE before reaching Hyderabad, where they will be stationed for a number of days. The squad departed from Lahore early on Wednesday, reaching Hyderabad late in the evening.

In their warm-up matches, Pakistan will face New Zealand on September 29 and Australia on October 3. Their tournament campaign begins with a match against the Netherlands, followed by a game against Sri Lanka on October 10.

The Pakistani players received their Indian visas less than 48 hours before their intended travel. Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Ali Agha are the only players in the squad who have previously visited India for cricket, while Babar Azam missed the 2016 T20 World Cup due to an injury.
