Given how comfortable he looked in the nets, there's heightened anticipation for his potential return to the playing XI.

However, the coaching staff and medical team, led by Rahul Dravid, will closely monitor Gill's progress and evaluate his readiness based on his performance during Friday's session, especially considering the challenging weather conditions and the timing of the game.
