Kolkata man arrested for selling IND vs SA Cricket World Cup match tickets at exorbitant rates

In a concerted effort to curb black-market ticket sales, Kolkata Police apprehended an individual named Ankit Agarwal for reselling ICC Cricket World Cup tickets for India vs South Africa match, each valued at Rs 2,500, at an exorbitant rate of Rs 11,000 per ticket.

Law enforcement confiscated a total of 20 tickets intended for the India vs South Africa fixture, scheduled for November 5 at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata.

This recent crackdown closely follows the arrest of an unidentified individual involved in the sale of counterfeit tickets at inflated prices for the England vs India World Cup cricket encounter at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium.
