KL Rahul smashes fastest World Cup hundred by an Indian | IND vs NED | Cricket World Cup

KL Rahul found himself in the line of fire after a couple of bad knocks in IPL 2023 and after his injury, which ruled him out for 5 months, not many thought that he would even get into the World Cup squad, let alone being India's X-factor in ODIs.

But Rahul had other plans. It is turning out to be a comeback to savour for ages as the Bengaluru lad has now made the number 5 spot his own.

The local lad lit up the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru as he smashed a fiery 62-ball-hundred against Netherlands, which is now the fastest hundred by an Indian in World Cup history. The record was previously held by Rohit Sharma, who did it in 63 balls.

Interestingly, apart from him, Rahul Dravid is the only other Indian Wicketkeeper to score a World Cup hundred. Moreover, he now has the most runs by an Indian wicketkeeper in a single edition of a World Cup.

They say that comebacks are stronger than setbacks. And KL Rahul proved that it wasn't just a phrase but an attitude only fighters possess.
