Ex-Pakistan cricketer Sikander Bakht accuses Rohit Sharma of deception during toss | Cricket World Cup

After Hasan Raza's controversial remark that 'different balls' are being given to Indian bowlers at the ongoing Cricket World Cup, a new conspiracy has taken form.

Speaking on a talk show on Pakistan television, former cricketer Sikander Bakht accused Indian skipper Rohit Sharma of deceiving his opponents at the toss.

He wondered, 'Very strange the way Rohit Sharma throw the coin at toss, far away, don’t let other Captains to see, compare to other Captains in the WC , any reason??'

His question was followed by a compilation of clips of Rohit Sharma at some of the tosses in the World Cup, demonstrating the alleged distance of the coin toss.

It drew parallels to other captains tossing the coin in an attempt to show that the coin didn't stray too far from where everyone stood.

From sarcastic to dismal remarks, Bakht's accusation brought a variety of reactions.

One fan wrote, 'Big fan here sir. The pitch was 'tempered' using metallurgical skills by the ground staff. Obviously the coin, made of steel, gravitates towards the magnet. Hope this helps sir.'

A Pakistan fan dismissed Bakht's claim, 'Stop this nonsense and accept the fact Pakistan is out, they didn’t deserve to make final 4, enough with this conspiracy theories, this is an embarrassment for all of us as Pakistanis, just stop your nonsense altogether and move on!!!'
