Reports circulating in the Pakistani media have raised questions about the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) allegedly asking wicketkeeper-batter Mohd Rizwan to delete a post in which he expressed his support for Gaza.

The claim was made by journalist Ihtisham Ul Haq on X, where he mentioned, "According to a source, PCB (media team) asked Rizwan to delete the tweet on Gaza."

On October 11, a day after Mohd Rizwan scored a match-winning century for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in the World Cup, he dedicated his knock to the people of Gaza.

In his post on X, which remains accessible, he wrote, "This was for our brothers and sisters in Gaza. Happy to contribute to the win. Credits to the whole team and especially Abdullah Shafique and Hassan Ali for making it easier. Extremely grateful to the people of Hyderabad for the amazing hospitality and support throughout."
