Lewis Hamilton anticipates a challenging F1 season debut with Ferrari. Despite not securing any podium finishes, he remains optimistic. His recent social media updates emphasize perseverance and self-care as he seeks a record-breaking eighth title.

Lewis Hamilton Embraces Optimism with Ferrari Debut in F1

Zandvoort, Netherlands, August 25 (AP) – Lewis Hamilton expressed a sense of reflection and optimism on social media as he gears up for a challenging debut season with Ferrari. The seven-time Formula 1 champion, who shares the record for most titles, appears ready to compete when the F1 series makes its return in the Netherlands after a four-week mid-season hiatus.

“We have to keep going, even when it's difficult,” shared the 40-year-old Hamilton in a post on Instagram, accompanied by a striking image of him outlined against a serene sunset. His post, while not fully revealing, provided some perspective after previous messages reflecting on a racing season devoid of podium finishes in 14 attempts – a performance he described as “absolutely useless.”

Last week, Hamilton wrote “No days off,” alongside a photograph of him engaging in weightlifting. In another earlier post, he simply stated “DND” – a likely abbreviation for “do not disturb” – while relaxing in a grassy meadow near mountains with his beloved bulldog Roscoe.

On Monday, Hamilton expressed gratitude for the opportunity to “rest and recharge,” suggesting that his thoughts were extending beyond the racetrack, where his top results this season have been three fourth-place finishes.

“Every one of us is up against so much, both individually and globally,” Hamilton noted. “It's so important that we embrace the light of truth and love and take care of ourselves so that we can better take care of others.” He continued, “We can't look away,” as the British F1 legend continues his quest for an eighth title to surpass Michael Schumacher.

Currently, McLaren's Oscar Piastri leads the standings going into the Dutch Grand Prix. AP SSC SSC
