Diksha Dagar, Pranavi Urs Make the Cut at Aramco China Championship

Shenzhen, Nov 7 (PTI): Indian golfers Diksha Dagar and Pranavi Urs have successfully made the cut at the Aramco China Championship, positioning themselves for potential improvement in the final round. After taking a break following the Indian Open, Diksha delivered a solid 3-under 70, comprising four birdies against a single bogey. Similarly, Pranavi matched this score with five birdies and two bogeys. As a result, Diksha finds herself Tied-35th, while Pranavi is Tied-49th. Unfortunately, the tournament proved less favorable for Avani Prashanth and Tvesa Malik, who, with rounds of 74 and 75 respectively, missed the cut set at -2. Overall, 63 players progressed to the final day. Leading the charge is Thailand's Cheenglab, who dazzled on day two with a remarkable round of 65 (-8), securing a total of 12-under-par. Her performance was highlighted by birdies on the second, third, and fifth holes, followed by an eagle on the sixth and an additional birdie on the eighth. Despite a minor setback with a bogey on the 15th, she remarkably holed an eagle on the 17th and finished with a birdie to hold a one-shot lead heading into the final round. Sharing the spotlight, Chinese golfers Ruoning Yin and Ruixin Liu also delivered outstanding rounds of 65 (-8) on day two, much to the home crowd's delight. Each registered nine birdies with only one dropped shot on the World Cup Course, resulting in a shared second place on the leaderboard. In fourth place, there is a tie among four players: American Alison Lee, Thailand's Pramphun, Sweden's Kajsa Arwefjäll, and China's Qianhui Lin, all of whom are sitting on nine-under-par.
